ibs constipation

so I finally went to pelvic floor therapy and they told me that there is no poop in the rectum. That the poop is stuck in my sigmoid based on where I pointed in the upper butt part. My stool is soft and sits there and I go usually one in 2 weeks- a month. I can not pass gas unless it wants to come. I’m in pain every single day due to not passing stool or gas . I have no break. Can anyone think of what testings to do or what medication or something I should take. This is my first time hearing sigmoid. Usually I tell them I feel the poop in my rectum but it’s too high up to reach and soft and it won’t come even if I push. I’ve took all the laxatives u can think of and nothing works

have the same issue other than mine feels near the end but did colonoscopy 10 years ago and they found redundant sigmoid colon which is last part I believe. I’ve still not cured mine and it’s getting worse it’s like living with a nightmare. I know how you feel. Now mine has started to get worse due to uterus being removed only thing that seems to work a little bit is the fybregel.

I have to go back in couple of weeks for another colonoscopy to check as they don’t want to do it as my bowel is twice size of normal size and they’re afraid of perforating it , but they have to do something last time run out of tubes and said it was impossible. But if I do get any answers I will post so you can see if their suggestions are any help. So far all they have said could be large polyp endometriosis still left over and they might have missed with removal of uterus so could be pushing into bowel stopping stool getting passed. Or redundant loops possibly will have to be removed by bowel surgeon.

My answer to you if they tell you to remove uterus really think about it I had no choice anyway due to fibroids inside but they didn’t explain in 10 years the bowel could lean on the bladder and that pain is excruciating. Good luck hopefully I can help once I’ve got some answers.Take care x

that’s only

does your stool sit in the sigmoid colon and is your poop hard or soft? Where do you feel your pain mostly and why did you remove your uterus ?

yes it sits in the sigmoid colon I feel. It can be both. I originally had my uterus removed due to endometriosis I had pain both sides of my body but when they removed the uterus they found a very large fibroid inside so I really wouldn’t have had a choice in the end anyway. But even the gynaecologist commented he’d never seen a bowel like mine. Every time the specialists have done different operations for the endometriosis or colonoscopy they always commented how amazing it is 🤪but I’d rather not have this amazing bowel thank you very much 😂 but as I said just really check no other options for uterus removal as there’s nothing to support the bowel from leaning on your bladder and obviously over the years f you have trouble with the bowels never nothing to stop it. Yours might be fine I did have about 10 years without not too much trouble but now seems not a lot they can do. Hope my answer helps you

This is so interesting to me as I have very similar symptoms. I have never had any tests and my GP ( I see a different doctor every time I manage to get an appointment) can only deal with one problem at a time even saying that to me and said they only have 10 mins per appointment! I was seeing them for frequent UTI’s so they prescribed Lactulose which I have been taking but feel worse and have excessive wind and abdominal pain and feel the BM is stuck and incomplete.

How do you get to see a physio for pelvic exercises?

Hi, I often suffered with this same problem, not being able to go for days even though I knew it was soft. I suffered more than I can even bare to think about with chest, back stomach and around the coccyx area being bloated so bad I thought it might cause a heart attack. Capsules with psyllium husk, devils claw and ilium in work for me. ( With 2 x filter coffees a day and plenty water)I have had very few episodes of this since taking them and cutting out white bread/pasta entirely. Hope this helps
