I have IBSC low bone density and osteoarthritis in the lower back and hips. I get a lot of pain in the groin which I used to blame on the constipation but now I'm not so sure.

I have the same on IBSC, lower back pain, lumbar replacement, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis in hips and joints. Bless you for posting about the right groin pain. I've had it for the past couple of years and the doctors (general and GYN) have determined that nothing is wrong. Something is because the pain is debilitating when walking and standing too long. Over time, I've come to the same decision that it has nothing to do with constipation. Now if I could figure out what it does. Possibly tight pelvic/groin muscles is what I'm considering from my latest research. There's also the possibility that it could be related to S2-S4 compression. I've broken my sacrum 3x - talented that way- so there's a serious possibility of that too. I've used this body and plan to keep doing so if I can get it back to working condition.

I was reading old posts and there's ileocecal valve that can cause all sorts of problems. It can possibly be at the bottom of all of pain. Something to look into. There's were posts three years ago about right side groin pain.

Hi thereI had an accident 7 years ago and had to have hip surgery due to labral tear. MRI showed disc prolapse.

Everytime I get really constipated I get right sided pain near right illiac fossa.

I was diagnosed with Coelliac disease a year ago and Consultant said remaining symptoms due to IBS. Hideous but remain optimistic and just keep going.

Dietician gave me advice but often I can't drink 2 litres of water as advised or eat 2 kiwi fruits a day.

I have PMR, an autoimmune disease that affects the hip girdle. Between that and IBSD, it can be very hard to tell what's causing what.

I have chronic constipation from the Rxs that I'm on with my IBSC, osteoarthritis/osteopenia, and unusually long intestines with very slow peristalsis. Both my hips constantly hurt but I would not connect that to my constipation. It would seem that exterior hip muscles are a different set of muscles contracting than for peristalsis and defecation. Maybe not. I don't experience pain in my hips from either so that where I draw my thoughts on it.
