Update- I have had a blood test, stool test and FIT test which have all come back ok. Still have diarrhea, stomach pains and have lost over a stone in weight (didn't weigh myself before all this started so not sure of weight loss time frame. Been suffering these symptoms for about 48 days). Having spoken to the practice nurse last Tuesday, I was told I've been urgently referred. However I received a letter on Saturday telling me no appointments were available. I rang and was told hopefully i will receive an appointment date within the next few days. My question is has anyone had similar symptoms and results and everything been ok. I am worrying myself silly, which I know won't help. Thanks for any.

Anyone else had these issues and results
Hi mhafin I had same problem as u and all my bloods and stool samples came back ok I lost 10lb in weight to I started in January with all these symptoms I had to wait months before I got to see the gastroenterologist which I finally did begining of October which I was put on medication for BAM as the gastroenterologist thinks the bile acid is leaking back into my large intestine and causing the diarrhoea I have been in the meds for afew weeks now at first they didn't seem to be any difference but now the diarrhoea is less often and I am constapated more which I now go every few days as before I was always sat on the loo. So don't be worrying and wait for ur appointment as I'm sure everything will be ok I put all my weight back on after afew months of loosing it aswell so hopefully u will to good luck 🤞 and let us know how you get on.
Thanks 3443Ness for your reply. You are right I know. Worrying is only making things worse. Hopefully I’ll hear back soon about an appointment. Thanks again
I know it's hard not to worry as I know I was i still have my bad days but having more good days lately and it's been 11 months since my bad flare up started so hopefully there is hope for all of us
Hi 3443Ness. Know what you mean. Glad your having more of the good days😀. Logically I’m thinking it’s a bad flare up, particularly as my bloods. FIT test, h-pylori all came back ok. Then my worrying head kicks in and I’m stressing, as I’ve still got stomach pains etc. Hopefully get some answers or treatment.
Next they’ll probably recommend a colonoscopy; from what I know ibs is diagnosed through elimination of other illnesses so don’t fret
Hi queenetta . I had a colonoscopy about 2/3 years ago when I reached 55. Everything was fine. Hopefully if they do another it will be the same. Just worrying about it all. Thanks for your reply.
They didn't do a colonoscopy on me as they said my last 1 was ok and all my stool samples and bloods was normal but they said if I didn't improve in 4 months when I next go see them they will do a colonoscopy
Can I ask 3443Ness, you say you weren't given another colonoscopy as your results were normal, how long before that was your previous colonoscopy. My tests have come back ok. Still waiting on my urgent referral. Spoke to a secretary at the hospital who informed me the Dr will be looking at my case next week and will then let me know what's happening. I am very anxious, which I'm sure isn't helping my symptom's or my nerves,
Yes I had my last one 5years ago but had a endoscopy 2.5 years ago as I was rushed into hospital as I was very ill they put the camera down my throat and I would say I would never have it again without been sedated. I know it scary and the nerves do kick in but all mine was ok at the time it was gastroenteritis infection in the stomach I ended up having was in hospital for a week on a drip and antibiotics but gradually got better I couldn't even eat when I had it and lost alot of weight. I am having stomach trouble at the moment having an ultra scan next Saturday as all other test keep coming back ok been given medication for bile acid aswell but see gastroenterologist again in 4 months and if no improvement they r going to consider doing a colonoscopy again so try not to worry as it doesn't help with the IBS symptoms let us know how you get on take care
I have similar symptoms -- very loose, watery stools, occasional stomach pain, weight loss (23 lbs since March). Had all the tests, so now finally the GI is giving me a breath test tomorrow to check for SIBO. You may want to ask your doctor about that.
