IBS and dry eyes

Hello. When my IBS is really bad I get very dry eyes. Does anyone else experience this?

No I've never experienced it at all, very strange.

Hi, yes I do, but it may be a coincidence. I did find that the last time I was on vitamin D3 supplements that it fixed it, so I am on them again at the moment, but it may take a few more days yet.

Yes when i have a bad bout i get red dry eyes for a day or two. Always have eye drops ready

I assume it is inflammation in the body which shows up in the eyes

I do have this when my ibs/diverticulitis flares up also my mouth dries up and I have to either drink or suck a mint to keep it wet, with your eyes have chat with either your GP or pharmacist about drops or gel to keep your eyes hydrated

My eyes are sore at the minute. I've had a bad few days with nausea and gut pain, now up again in pain and struggling

I think there is a link with dry eyes/mouth, ibs and rheumatology disorders.
