Colonoscopy yesterday

Ok so l was nervous but this was my 3rd one so new was was coming! The Picolax prep was the worst part didn’t taste bad an l would choose Picolax over miviprep any day. My poor bottom was soooo sore l was going literally every 5mins an used vasoline an wet wipes but in the end could barely touch my poor bottom I think a heamoroid came out as I was bleeding. Yesterday’s experience was great l told staff l have anxiety problems an had sedation l must say l didn’t feel a thing an slept right through. 4biopsies taken an report says sticky green feaces found dunno what that means???? Have to wait for follow up appointment for results. Oh yes an l came home an slept for 4hrs try an sleep it off if you have it. Wind wasn’t a problem for me either. From a very anxious patient don’t worry it’s fine xxx

Thanks SO much - that reassuring - my 1st colonoscopy in within the next 3 week (awaiting the appointment letter) and I am very nervous.

Omg l was so anxious I have terrible anxiety problems. I told the nurse l thought l would have a panic attack whilst they were doing it. I can honestly say l didn’t even feel it going into my bottom an the next thing l knew after sedation went in was waking up them saying it’s over. Just make sure you come home an sleep it off don’t try An do stuff. If you feel windy let it come out l took windeze an didn’t have any problems. Only bit l didn’t like was the prep my bottom got so sore from going An continually wiping. Make sure you have everything you need vasoline wipes anything that you might want. Drink plenty of water lucazade so you keep glucose fluids up. I don’t get my results till l go bk to see consultant in sept ridiculous l know but if it was serious lm sure someone would flag it up so no news is good news though lm still suffering!!! Good luck
