Miracle help from Laxido

I have been suffering from alternating constipation and diarrhoea with agonising left-sided stomach pains every day for about 15 years. All the usual treatments are pretty much useless. But ...I had spinal surgery in May, and was prescribed Laxido daily for two weeks. By the end of that time, I was very loose, but I realised that the pain had gone! I now take Laxido twice a week (any more and I get too loose), and this maintains my almost pain-free state. I do occasionally get a small niggling pain, but nothing like what I had before. I just wondered whether anyone else had tried it?

Hi yes I've been taking Laxido for months. I rely on it, but it can take 6 days of taking it, before I get to open my bowels. Constipation is made worse by my meds, so I'm hoping my gp will help. It's as if I have IBS. I get pain in my abdomen on the left side all the time. I'd still got piles after 2 months which is very uncomfortable.

I rely on it too but it can also make me bloated and windy. It's better than the constipation though.

I'm glad you have found laxido works for you. My daughter been using it for months and it's not working to the point where she's refusing it now. Our GP put her dose up to 8 adult sachets to be drunk in 6 hours she did it for 2 weeks and has no given up. Nothing shifting her at the moment. Been on laxatives for 7 months and had 4 enemas which clear some pooh but still loads to come which appears to come at the rate of a pebble every few days. She's in pain and passing out every day through it. She's been in and out of hospital and waiting for Birminghamchildren's hospital now to see if they can help. She's 14 years old and it's pathetic how long they leaving her. The one hospital said eventually she will sick up pooh WTF 😠

Oh that's terrible! I feel so sorry for your daughter. I've been hospitalised because of constipation. It can be dangerous so keep on until the right help. Good luck x

My mother has really bad constipation which is due to a lazy bowel. Has gone 2 weeks without a bowel movement in the past. She has finally found a solution in a product called Ortisan it’s natural product a little cube that you chew with a large glass of water. Available in Holland and Barrett and also Tesco. It’s not cheap but it worked for her where nothing else would.

Let her try high amount of magnesium citrate or oxide. About 800 to 1200mg. I have had Ibs c almost my whole life and am now in my fifties. This is the best natural supplement to take for this condition and I have tried many. Even my consultant recommended it. I take it every day. You must take it on an empty stomach just before bed with lots of water. I would start with a high dose initially just to clear you out. Even if it means taking a few capsules. I sometimes take 6 200mg capsules. Then take about 600mg every other day. Capsules are the best not tablets and it has to be citrate or oxide as these are the ones that work for constipation. You can discuss this with your doctor. There is a lot of information about constipation and magnesium on the internet. The ones I take are either Now foods Magnesium citrate, Solgar Magnesium Citrate or Life extensions. I get mine from the US on a site called iHerb, but you can get them on Amazon. There are other magnesium oxide products specifically for colon cleansing called Mag 07, Colosan and Oxypowder. You can also get these on Amazon.

Hi I have tried laxido and movicol both work in similar ways and seem to work well for me. My daughter is 15 she takes 2 sachets a day, she has autism and IBD. I have had severe IBS since childhood and tried many things over the years, have had tests, scans, colonoscopy etc to no avail, but I find these sachets help me best as they draw fluid into the bowel so it’s a more natural way of releasing. I find at times they don’t work so well but these tend to be after periods of extreme stress for me. Also I find if I eat too much bread type products or pasta things are worse for me especially the bloating. I’m pleased you found something that works for you.

I found the same with wheat and caffeine, avoiding wheat cereals swapping for rice crispies or Oatibix and different breads like tesco sunflower or oat finest loaf in moderation helps.

I also use Laxido. Have been using it for several years. I’ve tried stopping but get in a terrible state with pain and constipation that it’s not worth it. I’ve realised it’s best to keep using it if it helps.

Yes I use it and it works but as in all things in life there is a price.. the pain and wind can be a real pain sometimes.I tend to take a cup of it to bed and when I wake during the night I drink it. and go back to sleep thus missing a lot of the discomfort.

I’ve been taking 1 sachet a day for months as was fed up with getting impacted took about a week to work though I still get pain right side of belly button everyday tho x
