Does anyone use unbranded Loperamide? I'm finding constantly buying Imodeum to be expensive!

Also not sure wether to ask the GP for a prescription, would that be worth getting?

I now get mine prescribed - about 30 in the pack but I get free prescriptions currently, also Tesco over the counter version for £1.80 for 12 is just as good I find x

Yes most drugs after a certain time can be made by anyone turn a pack of painkillers over the branded ones contain the same ingredients at a fraction of the price! Bit like branded foods and other items! Yes tesco ones are cheaper and often with a prescription for drugs actually hikes the cost up further.

I buy nearly all of my OTC medicines from the discount stores. Savers, Home Bargains and B&M Stores stock most of the IBS-related ones far cheaper than Boots or the major supermarkets.

Yes I use unbranded loperamide and it's the same. So no problems. Good luck x

My hubby uses unbranded and they are just as good as Immodium - you are certainly paying for the name with those.

I use it all the time plus you can get pills in a bottle instead of those hard to open packaging
