My son went for his review with the IBD nurse after having a barium follow through.
She told him that he had a partially collapsed bowel and that she didn't know what that meant and so she would have to speak to a consultant.
We are still waiting for her to come back to us.
He has diarrhoea anything from 4 - 15 times a day, is dairy intolerant, alcohol intolerant, and is finding that wheat and gluten are upsetting him too.
Needless to say I am getting quite worried now, has anyone else experienced a collapsed bowel.

I haven't I'm afraid, but I just wanted to send you some courage. Your son is lucky to have such a supportive mother that is doing all she can. Let's hope that they can operate or give him some treatment that will really help him.
I'm sure you could both do with a rest from all of this.
Just as a side thought, I have written a post on food intolerance that you may find useful. It mentions how some people think they are gluten intolerant, but in fact have a problem with complex sugars.
