IBS-d on FODMAPS

I'm an active and otherwise healthy, though diabetic, senior female. Doctor diagnosed IBS-d in 2014; symptoms developed after a course of antibiotics for an infection caused by pneumonia vaccination. Been following FODMAPS for about 2 years, more strictly in last six months, but still have very loose stool at least once weekly, sometimes more frequently. Imodium usually offers quick relief, but also brings bloating, gas, and no bowel movements for a couple days.

Does anyone use a different medication than Imodium that has helped symptoms like mine?

You could be lactose/dairy intolerant and most tablet medication contains lactose

Try a fairly normal diet leaving one food group, like dairy, out of your diet at a time keeping a food and symptom diary to monitor and changes
