Easiest way to ease your worries is to phone a surgery and explain. Or if in the UK that number that has replaced NHS direct.

How many have you taken??

I often take 2 or 3 more than I should in the day and nothing happens to me. I might feel a little 'blocked up' two or 3 days later but that's it!

I think if you are worried, you better seek medical advice

Ask chemist

You are not alone. Judging by these posts,we all have some awful experiences with IBS.I know how you might feel. This mess will pass and you will feel better. Please go to the Emergency Room if you cant habdle the pain. They will give you something to help you. I had the ambulance come to my house three times before I got my IBS under some control.Right now,I cant take one bowel movement without taking metamuccill every night and a laxative called mirilax. I must take this every single day. I am so scared that One day I may never be able to go to the bathroom again.I feel like my organ is shutting down and my life is over.

Please dont give up. Keep coming back here. Also for more free advice, check out Heathers IBS website. Heather saved my life.

At first I only had IBS pain and direahea. Two years later it turned into consipation.

Its an awful problem. BUT we have to keep helping each other. I hope you are feeling better by the time you get this.

I am in the US and its 11:30pm.That would make it about 9am where you are.

Please tell us how your doing tomorrow.

Just a thought:ask the doctors if you can take only one test at a time. Tell them how your feeling.I am sure they will understand.

Lots of love to you.

Try to get a friend or neighbor to stay with you. Or maybe you can stay overnite in the hospital.

I had a gastroscopy a couple of weeks ago. You can ask for sedation, which I did, and found it was all fine. Don't really remember much about it. They also give you a spray to deaden the throat. You do gag a bit but don't care because you are sedated. You won't be sick because your stomach has to be empty. Ask for the sedation - all you can get!

Mebeverine tablets are just a peppermint oil based tablet that is suppose to ease the effects of urgency going to the toilet and calm the bowel. I was prescribed them by my GP. When I went to the hospital as I got referred the consultant I was under said they don't work they are like smarties and you can take as many as you want as they wont harm you. So my honest opinion and think you should be fine but as always make sure with your doctors or hospital
