Can contraceptive pill cause ibs

I dont use this anymore but was on it from the age of 15 for painful periods until i had my daughter at 25. Everything seemed to get worse when i came off it. I just wondered if anyone had any knowledge on this?

Any hormone change can trigger a person to become intolerant to a favourite or frequent food.

Have you been checked out for endometriosis? I have similar history and it is stage 4 endometriosis causing the bowel problems and ibs symptoms.

They can only diagnose with a laparoscopy, it generally doesn't show up on either ultrasound , mri or CT scan.

Hopefully it is ibs without any underlying issues.
