Hi it looks like everyone is asking someone named Kerry for info. Can I please also get info? I don't see her post to be able to respond directly and I really need help. Any help appreciated, thank you!
Nothing has helped my bloating!: Hi it looks... - IBS Network
Nothing has helped my bloating!
I can't help with Kerry' post, either, but tell us more about your bloating. When did you first notice it, how does in manifest itself (is your stomach distended or do you just feel pressure) and what have you tried so far?
have you looked into the possibility that you have SIBO? (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). The main symptom is severe bloating.
Thank you for your responses. It's weird I was responding to an older thread and everyone was asking that this "Kerry" email them regarding fixing their bloating but there was no actual Kerry who had posted, so it's like her post was removed but not all the people desperate for her help, like I am now.
Anyway, I both feel bloated and look bloated too, I have been asked if I am pregnant before, because the rest of me weighs little and the swelled stomach looks out of proportion.
Anyway, I have tried GF and dairy free diets. The only time I am not as bloated is if I literally stop eating for at least a day or more. Everything and anything makes me bloat.
I have tried everything; digestive enzymes, mint, activated charcoal, gas-x, stool softener, mirilax, magnesium, milk of magnesia, probitiocs, various medications the GI prescribed.
I was told I am constipated by one doctor and tried fibers that did nothing or made me worse even over time. Maybe I am a little but it's not the whole picture. I know this because when I had a colonoscopy and hypque enema, I was much less bloated due to having had to fast, but still not quite my normal yet I had no food in me, I was close to my normal though. Still I shouldn't have to stop eating to be as I was before. Nothing fits. I submitted a stool sample, had a capsule endoscopy as well, a regular stomach x-ray, and an ultrasound and still nothing.
Regarding SIBO, I was told if I take Xifaxin it would clear up SIBO if I had it and I took Xifaxin wthout success. I can't really afford the SIBO test.
All this happened overnight. I had a small stomach and waist and now I look a few months pregnant and feel so tired like I am carrying a watermelon.
Any help appreciated. Thank you
