New to the site and needing some advise.

From the age of 2 I had to have aan and stretch (bak in 85) as I was very badly constipated, it never really worked and as a child I remeber doing things like trying to keep it in and not letting myself go because I new it was goin to be excruciating to pass the crap (to put it nicely. Lol) so always suffered with very bad constipation in early 20s got to the point where I hadn't been able to for 14 days was in agony so went to a&e where I was given a suppository up the back passenge NOT A NICE EXPIERENCE anyway my question is

IS STILL IBS (diagnoses recieved from doctors) WHEN IT STARTS THAT YOUNG? I thought IBS was based around your emotional state and at 2yrs old I wouldn't have though that possible?

I'm 32 now and I've never even thought to ask my doctor or gastroenterologist consultant. My IBS now (past 3mths) mainly shows itself in black diareah (sorry for spelling) and my system only opens every 5-10 days a lot better than this time last year where it was mainly hard stools.

SORRY FOR THE GRAFIC DETAILS BUT ANY HELP/ADVISE IS MUCH APPRECIATED :)

You really need to go and see your GP and explain all this to him/her. What you have experiences is quite common and there are many treatments available to alleviate this condition.

Hi there, what DTH said is the best advice anyone could give you... you need to explain all of this to your doctor... Please give him ALL the details... (they are used to hearing it all! :) ) so that everything is 'covered'... Just this act alone, I believe, in speaking with your dr, will help make you FEEL better... Good luck to you and let us know how you are doing!

Have a good day, OK? OK!
