Pain under right ribs ibs?

Does anyone get pains under breastbone and especially under and beneath right ribs.  Worse after eating.  Have had ct and ultrasound recently so not gall bladder.  Can ibs cause this?  I am very worried

Hi bourne62, normally IBS causes pain on the left side, but I am reading more and more post where people are complaining of right pain, I am not medically able to answer you, as if it's IBS, so if you are worried, talk to your GP, and get some more test done. Hope you get your answers. Try not to worry.take care

I get pains on my left side just where my bra sits under my breast they can be quite sharp, I was worried it was my heart but as the pain was on and off for days and can move slightly and it hurts to touch I reasoned with myself that it isn't my heart, I said this to my doctor and she said the same it wouldn't move around of hurt to touch if it was my heart and if it was my heart something serious would of happened by now.  I had loads of tests and the pains have been put down to tight tense muscles in my back and neck as all the nerve endings feed around.

I have this and have been diagnosed with ibs. I also have ultra sound showing no gallery stones but still can get the pain.

I had this and after 2 ultrasounds showed nothing, new GP told me to have another and this time found fatty liver. I stopped taking Tylenol and stated eating Atkins (no flour or sugar) and pain went away.

Hi, just ran across your post. Sorry you're hurting. I have this same problem after I eat it. The side becomes quite painful under the lowest part of my ribs and below them. This seems crazy because your stomach is on the right. I've also been seen for extreme pain in th E.R for a possible appendicitis or gall bladder issue. Was on a morphine drip and still crying in pain. Did all the tests and ct scan. They could find nothing wrong. It lasted for 2 days. They gave me a generic diagnosis of possible intestinal spasms?? I do get less extreme pain regularly in the same spot we I eat. Who knows. Please let me know if they give you a better answer.
