For bloating, I use Braggs apple cider vinegar with "the mother". You can find it at stores like Trader Joes or Mothers. It's great for MANY things actually. You should look up the benefits :) it's ones of the essentials in my cabinet

I take charcoal capsules.

hi

varies a bit. bloating usually a day. i find buscopan eases pain and windeze help to get rid of trap wind. Sometimes eating cereal helps.Walking and plenty of water too.

regular bloating probably caused by high fibre foods , beer, gassy drinks ,cabbage cauliflower, broccolli ,onions, sultanas, dates and prawns.

worth eliminating some for a week or two and see how you are.

Hello Cramping and bloating are my middle names. It seems as though a day does not go by with out one or usually both occuring. I do take Gaviscon and that seems to help a bit.

Hi, I massage my tummy when I can i.e. when at work I visit the toilet so that I can sit down and massage my tummy for a couple of minutes - it does help. I can't eat broccoli or cauliflower as they make it worse although I do eat broccoli every now and again - I love it! Exercise does help and sitting upright, if I slouch at a table I know all about it. I take multibionta tablets (http address below) every day, they are a multi vitamin and also contain probiotics - they were rated some time ago as one of the best multi vitamins on the market. I also take Buscupan and Windeze is also very good.

I think that elimination is a good start with your diet as I really did notice a difference when I stopped eating broccoli and cauliflower regularly. Also, if you haven't done so already visit your doctors to eliminate any illnesses i.e. Chrons disease etc - I had a Colonoscopy and Endoscopy in 1996 which ruled out all other illnesses so was then diagnosed with IBS.

Best of luck

yes it def causes depression and anxiety, with IBS you just can't make a plan and be sure you can stick to it,what keeps me going is keep searching and trying things I hear that may help, then get really deprest when its been another waste of money ,spent a fortune over 20 years. The only things that have really help have been magnesium citrate tablets for constipation part and charcoal capsules for gas and bloating ,at the moment trying digestive enzymes and forever living aloe vera drink ,just spent another £60 on 3 more bottles of the aloe. good luck x

I get mine from holland and barrett.

GISSY123. NEARLY EVERY TIME I EAT! The most painful is the horrid sick feeling over the bladder area and the cramping along with he bloat! Not much huh? I have just been reading on the different stages of the trvel of what you at thru your stomach, and on to the expulsion! IN THE AM ITHE LOWER OVER THE BLADDER DISTRESS IS WORST. I take a Gravol which eases t a little. I also take Buscapan which relaxes your intestines somewhat. Sometimes it helps, other times it doesn't! I just yesterday started eating the BRAT method. Bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. Not6 much but sure worth a try? I donot have the explosive diarhea that some have. I lean to constipation (mostly I think frommy pain medication). I also have a spine that is pooched with degenerative disk disease and have that horrible pail 24/7 so it is difficult toseparate the two malidies! I think bland easily digestible food may be our answer? I guess you just have to try various methods till you come upon that what suits you? My DR. gave me Amoxcicilan which seemed to help. I lost my hubby two years ago and some say the stress etc. could impact upn the IBS somewhat but I don't know about that and have not talked to my Dr. about it. The pain, etc is more of an issue to me. I don't know if my rather lengthy reply will help in some smll way. I do feel for anyone who is impacted by this darn IBS. It wrecks your life negatively in so many ways? Hoping you find some relief.

Thanks for your reply, my family broke up 18 months ago then my dad died so I do think that could face triggered mine plus you worry about it which causes the bloating to get worse

I am bloated most days or like every couple of days and the cramping pains I get are every now and than. On the whole I probably get more bloating than cramping pains. When I get cramping pains I take buscopan tablets, they are great for relieving the cramps. I wished I could get my other Ibs symptoms more under control, like the bloating, burping, feeling sick, stomach makes strange noises. Currently having another flare up
