Testosterone Levels and Prostate Cancer Risk - 1
This plot shows the association of baseline
testosterone
levels with PCa aggressiveness. For example, if you have low aggressive PCA, your
testosterone
is likely to be Normal. But, if you have metastatic PCa, your
testosterone
is likely to be very Low.

Effect of Baseline T on T-Recovery Time
Here's a plot of % of Men who recover their baseline
testosterone
after stopping ADT (Lupron), as a function of ADT duration for two different groups: (A) men who had a
normal
baseline
testosterone
(red line), and (B) men who had a
low
baseline

Male hormone tests
They all look fine, apart from
testosterone
is a bit high. FSH is 10.2, LH 3.6,
testosterone
is 28 and prolactin 145. His sperm analysis shows low sperm count and low motility. Could the high
testosterone
impact this? Thank you

Low testosterone
I have low
testosterone
and I'm now on injections. I was feeling very terrible for months with no sex drive,no motivation, and low self-esteem which is not me. My blood work came back low in
testosterone
and I'm now on my second injection three weeks later.

Testosterone Recovery after stopping ADT -2
For ADT of 4 months, 50% of men will fully recover their
testosterone
in 5 months. For ADT of 4 months, 50% of men will fully recover their
testosterone
in 24 months. Roughly speaking, on average, the T-recovery time equals the duration of ADT.

Testosterone Recovery after stopping ADT -1
Here's the first of four plots showing
testosterone
recovery after stopping Lupron ADT. The
testosterone
recovers quickest in the first 12 months, but then flattens out after that.

PSA levels will increase over time, depending on the level of testosterone - Part I
Finally, the
testosterone
level is equivalent to the gas pedal's position. Increasing the level of
testosterone
is equivalent to pushing harder on the gas pedal...it makes the car go faster.

Testosterone levels
Is a
testosterone
level of 11.2 in a blood test a concern. My gp says no but symptoms are fatigue, muscle loss, low sex drive, brain fog and anxiety. They said no to trt but interested if this is low level or if the nhs won't fund the treatment unless they have to. Thanks

Low Testosterone reduces Survival by a huge amount.
This plot compares prostate cancer specific mortality probability versus time for two different levels of
testosterone
: Low and Normal. The low
testosterone
has a median value of 162 ng/dL [120-236] and the average normal T = 680 ng/dL.

Low testosterone is associated with extremely poor survival metrics, post-ADT.
These companion plots compare: (A) median survival times, (B) PSA doubling times, and (C) Time to PSA Failure for two different levels of
testosterone
: Low and Normal. The low
testosterone
has a median value of 162 ng/dL [120-236] and the average normal T = 680 ng/dL.

Testosterone volatility
My
testosterone
was measured @ 490 in 2014 when I was DX with PCa Gleason 6, it was measured again in 2016 at 463. It was not measured again until after I started on ADT and it has been >7 ever since.

PSA relapse rate vs testosterone nadir - 3
(ref: 2019) The
best
outcomes
are significantly associated with a
lower
nadir ( < 20 ng/dL), and the relationship appears to be roughly linear; heading toward a zero relapse rate for a
testosterone
nadir = 0.

PSA drop with decreasing Testosterone after Estrogen Patch Therapy
It plots the % reduction in PSA from baseline (100%) at time = 0 as a function of
testosterone
levels over a period of 4 weeks. As you know, estrogen effectively castrates men, causing a drop in
testosterone
over time to castrate levels (< 50 ng/dL).

Is there such a thing as too fast of a recovery of T on iADT 🫨
Otherwise known as "taking a vacation".I am now 10 weeks without ADT, and my
testosterone
is already at 104. My questions this time are for others here who have had a similarly quick return of
testosterone
