I was not given enough information about side effects of radiotherapy. Breast shrank to half size of other one. Can I sue for distress?

Hi Washington,

I'm sorry to hear that you feel distressed by the medical treatment that you have received.

The best way to establish whether you may have a case is to contact a solicitor. Some solicitors will give you a free initial consultation of about 30 minutes in which they can advise you about whether you may have a case and advise you on the funding options available to you.

You can search for a solicitor by searching on this link: lawsociety.org.uk/find-... (I think you'll have to copy and paste that into your search engine) and you will want to select 'clinical negligence' on the drop down menu.

I hope that helps.

Many thanks for your reply, I was begining to think I was just being stupid, BUT. Not only has my breast shrunk, but I am developing lung problems, which I now understand could be related to the radiotherapy and that heart problems could develop in the future, all of which would have stoped me from going ahead with the treatment, had I known about them before hand, so, thanks again for the advice which I will take.
