Sorry you are having these problems. It is so often the case that, when we are under threat, we turn on those we need and love most, and also that we try to make other things 'right' as a compensation. Is there any chance you could find a counsellor to work with - preferably both together? It would really help you to support each other.

Best wishes,

Isadora.

Hi sorry you're going through this! I agree with what Isadora advised, but it may also be useful for you and your husband to talk to someone separately about how you are coping individually. Lots of cancer charities have a free support line number, so you could try ringing them! Hope this helps

Hi Tammycatone

Your husband sounds similiar to how bowel cancer effected myself, without duplicating other answers here ,cancer effects people in different ways, its every possibility that he is in shock with the good chance of the onset of depression, so support him by finding out everything you can about the cancer, learn about depression & how to identify & cope with it for both of you. He probably needs you more now than ever before, Take time out to learn of his inner thoughts & find answers together. Even introduce him to these forums as its for the support of both parties. Just by realising he is not alone may help by identifying similiar traits. Hope it all turns out for both of you.

Regards Ian
