Here is what I have constanly experienced after being "cured" from TB:

1. flaking skin on scalp, face, under the eyelid, arms, scrotum and legs

2. itching on face, scalp, eyes, arms, scrotum and legs

3. legs weak and I'm puffing after walking with cane for 500 meters

Any suggestions???????

Hi thaibob, I am sorry to hear that you are still experiencing symptoms after being cured of TB. Have you spoken to a doctor about them? It can take a long time for the body to heal after TB, even though the bacteria are gone. Having been ill with TB can also leave you in a weakened state which makes other infections more likely - so it may be that it is something other than TB that can be treated. I would speak to your doctor and see if they can help.Best wishes,

Helen

I have been given cetirizine, an antihistamine, which didn't work at all. Also triamcinolone acetonide cream with another therapeutic moisturizing cream. I have questioned 3 doctors, one of which was reputed to be familiar with TB, and nothing. I guess I shall live with this and love it. Thanks for you rconern Helen.

Good luck with it. I swear by oilatum bath for itchy skin (though eczema in my case).

Well, what do I have to lose, I'll give oilatum a whirl.
