I was diagnosed with tb a month ago. Since then I've had good days and really bad days. Right now I'm suffering a lot from nausea and really bad abdominal pain. I've also had nose bleeds which I know is not a symptom of tb. Has anyone else suffered from these symptoms and how long till you start to feel slightly better?

Isn’t TB just awful. So sorry your feeling so I’ll. personally I don’t think I felt as bad as that, yes I did have problems, started coughing up blood and my lung collapsed general fatigue, but no abdo pain, I did have a constant ache in my lung and couldn’t use my left arm without it pulling on my lung. Everyone going through this disease is unique and will have there own set of problems. Each time you go for your follow up appointments speak to your doctor to see if they can reassure you in some way. I wish you well and hope you soon see some improvement x

Hang in there. I see you wrote this 16 days ago. It is my hope that by now you are starting to feel better with your meds. I would urge you though to stay in constant contact with your doctors or TB care professionals. Your symptoms are VERY important to report. They may have you stop taking meds, and do additional blood work, or switch your TB cocktail up. The meds are POWERFUL. They have to be to kill your TB. So my best advice, is take them as directed -- exactly as directed. Even when you begin to feel much better -- and you will, keep taking them on a regularly timed schedule. Don't skip days -- ever.

As hottchoc said, we all have different stories on our TB journey to wellness, but keep in mind that you will survive your TB. You can be cured. And there are support systems in place WORLDWIDE for support of people like us. I have been thankful that when I did get sick it was with an illness that was very well known by healthcare professionals and that the treatment for it has worked for decades. So again, please hang in there. This WILL pass.
