Was on
Zytiga
that work for about four months. It worked in a sense that it kept his PSA stable they never really went down however it didn’t go up to much either. He has never done chemo. I’m thinking the doctors thinking immunotherapy next.

My father started
Zytiga
in 2019, he switched from prednisone to dexamethasone as well. His PSA was fluctuating between 0.03-0.05. Then it rose to 0.07, stayed stable then it rose to 0.11. Today’s checkup indicated his PSA rose to 0.19.

Advice on Treating Liver and Lymph Node Mets
My oncologist added
Zytiga
and prednisone on top of Lupron immediately after I finished chemo. My PSA dropped from 56 at the beginning of this journey to undetectable (< 0.02) in February of 2021.

Sensitive teeth
Have any of you on
Zytiga
and dexamethasone experienced sensitivity in your teeth? I get a three month injection of Xgeva, therefore am concerned about any dental problems that might creep up.

Short update
Started Eligard and
Zytiga
with 3m PSA <.02 and T <1. We are starting the radiation this week, 4months and a week post op, as opposed to 3months which I noted in my first post. So far doing ok, hot flashes and fatigue of course, and hoping to work through the radiation treatment.

Abiraterone & Docetaxel & ADT the next steps...?
, and subsequently will the insurance industry fight back, especially when we consider the cost of
Zytiga
!? I don't see the difference for their consideration, because if you go the SOC and in 2 years show progression, you'll be on
Zytiga
then, or others, which are just as expensive anyways...

A Return To Normal?
I’m contemplating having a discussion with my care team on ending my dependency on
zytiga
, prednisone and lupron. My thought process is I’d rather feel like the my of 3 years ago for whatever time I could than living with the continuous ups and downs of the adt regiment.

Timeline thoughts?
Only treatment to date is ADT with
Zytiga
. Close to 80 years old. PSA started rising a few months ago, and I'm now starting to have bone pain (and will have the painful mets zapped). I'm beyond miserable on ADT and curious how much time I'd have left if I stopped treatment?

Off label use of Mekinist (Trametinib)
Over next 3 years Provenge,
Zytiga
, Xtandi and Taxotere. By summer 2014 extensive in bone marrow. Xofigo started in Feb 2014. Became anemic and could only be kept alive with monthly blood transfusions. Xofigo stopped in August. PSA over 120. Bills chance of living another 6 months bleak.

Zytiga
did not work for me at all. Found to be BRAC2 so on Parp Inhibitor since late November (Triton3 trial). Last PSA reading was 0.38 (rise from 0.23 previous month). I know it's the trend that's important rather than a one off increase. I'm looking to get a full molecular analysis done.

Zytiga and Covid Vaccine.
I am reading that despite no study, the overall opinion of researchers is the vaccine will be less effective on a person undergoing any active cancer treatment. Does anyone have any reliable data. I am putting off the vaccine.

My time on
Zytiga
is coming to an end I feel. Started last August with PSA at 20, in January PSA at 4.48 but as of 4/29 PSA at 10.03 which was just after completing radiation. I'm hoping 5/27 lab will see a drop. I've completed Provenge and Xtandi so I believe Chemo is next.

Total combat
At my current state of knowledge this means combining ADT (transdermal estrogen) with chemo (Jevtana or Docetaxel) as well as Carboplatin, plus second-line hormonal therapy perhaps
Zytiga
plus a PARP inhibitor since I have a BRCA2 mutation. Possibly low-dose Bicalutamid too.

Are all AR inhibitors the same?
Took Abiraterone (
Zytiga
); didn't work. Took docetaxel (Taxotere); worked for several months. Just finished 3 cycles of darolutamide (Nubeqa); PSA shot up from 33.6 to 50. MO now prescribes cabazitaxel (Jevtana). My question: Why not try enzalutamide first?

Next step. Comments?
We have decided on
Zytiga
/Prednisone with possibly radiation as palliative care. I can be more specific about anything. Your comments are welcomed! Also, my primary oncologist is compassionate but I want more opinions. I have touched base with Dr.
