Prolia and Zometa
Hi I am new here and have lots of questions running through my mind. I am taking Anastrozole (Hormone therapy for early breast cancer that is bad for bones as it lessens oestrogen). Have been diagnosed after bone scan as osteopenic. Told I should take Prolia or Zometa a bisphosphonate. I don't like

Just Wondering??
Hi Ladies, Ok, I'm a little confused about soy products. I don't eat soy but my onc did say tofu and natural soy was ok, but no supplements with soy. Also, reading about how much time we are all given......5, 10 years, I just checked and I can't find an expiration date stamped anywhere on me. I believe

You’ll never guess what I heard in the Infusion Room today! 😀
So the lady across from me today said she just started Foslodex and Zometa today. I told her I had the same. MBC. Then she proceeded to tell me her Doctor said 5-10 years barring new treatments coming out all the time. She was like I’m 64...5-10 years plus whatever...She was so positive! But seriously

After chemo, PSA risen from 0.149 (Dec), 0.192, 0.396, 0.833 today. Should I be concerned?
Did 6 infusion docetaxel which ended in Nov. I have multiple mets at the femur, lymph nodes and spine. Then started with Lucrin and Zometa ( once every three months). PSA has been creeping up from 0.149 to 0.833. I do workout every day. Physically, I feel very well. MO suggested we continue to monitor

Update on my dad. Need help, hope. Docetaxel over 80?
hello all. My dad is 83 dx in 2017. He has extensive bone Mets. He has been on zytiga, xtandi, still doing zometa and is currently in 3rd treatment of xofigo. He is slowing and weakening a lot. Pain is increasing mainly in hip. If you could see him, though, you'd never guess he's 83! His psa went

For those of you who have done docetaxal or about to.
It has been decided after a second opinion to proceed with docetaxal with neulasta, and zometa at the same time, starting on Monday of next week. I have to admit I am a bit nervous and apprehensive as to be expected especially given the current climate, of covid 19, although it was decided based on

Stopping Ibrance for the time being
Hi, I hope you are all safe and well. Just had my telephone appointment with hospital and basically they have offered me the chance to stop Ibrance for the time being (and continue with Letrozole) until the pandemic settles down. I have been on Ibrance since June 18. They said it could be a good opportunity

Shortly after my pet scan in January, I was informed it looked

A thousand criquets hissing. Is anybody dealing tinnitus.
For several weeks I have been experiencing what I consider severe tinnitus. I am currently on xtandi and lupron and zometa. With a quick rising PSA, I have gone to two regular docs, they ruled out all meds and possible noise damage cause, or wax buildup. Its driving me nuts its very loud from morning

Worries to go I for zometa treatment
Hello all, I read a lot here, but don’t post much. I’m nervous about an upcoming Zometa infusion this week. Last month my oncologist had me hold off on my blood work and Ibrance cycle. Because he didn’t want to expose me to unnecessary probable exposure to the virus. I’ve been stable and on Ibrance

Abiraterone Failure
I began Abiraterone on Jan 11,2020...my last three PSA readings are .76 12/11/20), 2.1 (2/25/20), 3.9 (3/27/20)...so I have failed abiraterone...(have ruled out BRCA2+ mutation...also I believe we have ruled out AR-V7 expression)..my alkaline phosphate remains good at 45...next choice seems to be enzalutamide

I realize its hopefully a marathon but when should you sprint.
Several weeks ago after zytiga failed some months back it appears that xtandi is the next to fail. My PSA is increasing, from 0.08 to 0.4 and now, three weeks later who knows, my next m.o appt is April 17th, labs and lupron and zometa, at the same time. My scans came back no new Mets, pet auxom and

Need input on ADT, Brachytherapy, etc.
Hi folks. I have a diagnosis of 3+4 with PSA of 21. I am on the fence and cannot decide which treatment to get. My doctor wants me to get the ADT (hormone therapy) to shrink the prostate so we can then do Brachy "seeds'. My family wants me to get it out with surgery. I have locally spoken to 3-4 men
