Radiation targeted and tumor Infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL)
His theory is "maybe" the
Yervoy
has changed the environment for the tumors so returning to a different PD1 (Optivo, thank you commercials) may help, because he had 1 patient where this helped. As you know, I'm not a fan of an N of 1.

radiation for melanoma metastisis and abscopal effect
The
yervoy
course did not seem to help at all, and the shoulder has progressed to spread, larger and deep blue/black lesions right at the surface area of his skin. We have seen the surgeon who suprisingly says, hey, let's just excise this stuff out!

Had 42 rounds of Keytruda, then watchful waiting, then 3 rounds of
Yervoy
, which toasted his GI tract. He had an infusion of Remicade (usually used to treat Crohn's Disease) last week to try to get his gut healed up.

Ongoing GI side effects from Yervoy
Tuesday Wayne went for a CT scan to see if the
Yervoy
has been doing any good. He has continued to have GI side effects since his last infusion 8/31/18.

Melanoma radiation for shoulder planned
We are feeling grateful to have plans in place to move forward since more immunotherapy is not available (He's had 42 treatments of Keytruda and 3 of
Yervoy
). Since he is Wild type the BRAF specialist in Columbia recommended none of those meds for my husband.

New to group
She started on Opdivo, then they added
Yervoy
. Her cancer continued to spread so we stopped
Yervoy
and added Taf/Mek, and she’s in her 5th week. Meanwhile she continues to get Opdivo every 3 weeks. Her last MRI last week showed tumor shrinkage in her brain and hope has been restored.

Yervoy update for Stage 4 after Keytruda
We understand
Yervoy
can take 6-9 months for full effectiveness to be determined, so we are back to watchful waiting and focusing on a joyous occasion: our youngest child is getting married at the end of October!

Jim Allison, Nobel Prize, Ipilimumab, etc.
Yervoy
{Ipilimumab}, he found, is necessary to drive T cells into the tumor, while the addition of a PD-1 drug makes sure they start killing.

Yervoy at the halfway point
Been a tough week emotionally trying not to hover tracking the
Yervoy
side effects, be present with the estate work and grief work in my brother's town, paying attention to my own reactions to the
Yervoy
, and not sleeping well.

My Husband was Diagnosed 7/17 with Advanced Stage IV Metastatic Melanoma
He was started on Opdivo/
Yervoy
, but after 2 treatments he couldn’t handle the treatment and was put on just Opdivo, and this still wasn’t working. He was hospitalized 3 times for a week each and his kidneys were failing, rapid weight loss, couldn’t eat.

Second Stage 4 treatment for us is now Yervoy
Came back around to what our Melanoma specialist oncologist recommended and started
Yervoy
4 weeks ago. My husband had his second infusion Friday. He developed itchy skin all over in week 2 after the first infusion which is well managed by topical steroid cream and/ or antihistamine by mouth.

Feeling more forgetful these days...
I have been doing
Yervoy
treatments just over two years now. I feel like I have lost a lot of brain power since beginning treatments. I've become annoyingly forgetful and make a lot of stupid mistakes b/c of it. Sometimes it's kind of scary. I used to have a good memory.

My dad recently diagnosed with NSCLC... Need help..
My hope was in the Opdivo/
Yervoy
clinical trial they were offering but was heartbroken to find out a few days ago after the PET scan that he did not qualify for the clinical trial because there wasn't a whole tumor they could safely remove, which is needed to qualify.

Melanoma treatment Keytruda in conjunction with Yervoy. Outcomes?
His oncologist is considering adding
yervoy
to the keytruda but has been hesitant due to possible serious side effects. Has anyone had any experience with taking Keytruda/
Yervoy
and if so what was the outcome?

Intro and Immunotherapy question
A trial is available which adds
Yervoy
(Ipilimumab) after the Provenge. If anyone has experience with this I would love to hear about it. The Signet Ring Cell type I have is rare and considered very aggressive. If there is someone out there with the same type please let me know your experience.

New member — husband stage IV melanoma
This kicked off a summer of battle - including an emergency intestinal surgery, brain and spinal radiation, immunotherapy (
Yervoy
and opdivo combo), and braf genetic therapy drugs.
