Stay or Go
3-1/2 years of ADT +Zytiga, Prednisone, and
Xgeva
and I've developed Osteopenia, and near Osteoporosis (-2.3) in femoral neck, (-1.5 spine and hip) and fractured T11 vertebra . My thoughts are that this is directly related to the ADT.

XGEVA
I was receiving
Xgeva
every 4 weeks for 2 years, and suddenly my Oncologist cut it back to every 3 months......can anyone explain why? Does it even do any good to have that much time between injections? I thought it had a 28 day half-life Help!!

Finally, my MO's treatment plan:, no Triplet Therapy. Let's do Eligard, XTANDI, Radiation, XGEVA
After waiting for two months to get a CT guided bone-biopsy and the results, my MO has discussed her best treatment option as follows: Eligard, XTANDI, Radiation - and
XGEVA
Her rationale is that my metastatic "load" isn't big enough to warrant chemo since it's only in the bones, not in any other organs

Pluvicto rechallenge failed
He wasn't on Xtandi and he started a bone enhancer over a year agovcalled
Xgeva
. Could this have made a difference, more research and time will help the next guy some day. Still thankful for the bonus years the 1st round gave my husband. Not without hope though.

Bone scan total body
hi ladies, I have a question I have MBC to my neck and I am on Ibrance 100, faslodex and
xgeva
for about four years. The treatment is working so far! My previous ONC used to order MRI and CT scans two times a year. My new ONC now ordered Bone scan total body.

Help: Metastasized Castration Resistant Prostate Cancer!
First I was put on bicalutamide, prednisone and
Xgeva
(denosumab). Later I was switched to Zytiga (abiraterone acetate) with an injection of lupron every three months. Then I was put on Xtandi with lupron once per month.

One year after Stage IV, so far, so good
I'm still getting Lupron shots every 6 months,
Xgeva
shots every 3 months, and I take abiraterone + prednisone every day. My notion is that we've got my cancer knocked out for the time being and I want to keep it that way.

Entering a New Stage Moving to Provenge
For over four years, I had been on what I called my "holy trinity", Erleada, Lupron and
Xgeva
. All of a sudden, I started experiencing a lot of dizziness. My PCP thought it was dehydration; so I hydrated more. Still dizzy.

Bone Density - Dexa
But doctors persist in prescribing harmful Bisphosphonates & Denosumab (Prolia /
Xgeva
). (Given that my results were all "normal", I don't know what significance I should place on the T- & Z-scores.) -Patrick

Pondering Possible Second Line of Treatment
Three targeted rounds of rads and a protocol of Ibrance (100mg after 125mg caused mouth sores) and Faslodex shots monthly and
Xgeva
every three months. NED since summer of 2019. I ended up with dropped foot, most likely as a by-product of radiation. Walking with a brace.

Daughter Supporting Father
Also, he has been getting
Xgeva
injections since 2017 as well. That brings us to today, October 2022. His bone scan and CT scan of organs are stable (done 2 weeks ago) , but his PSA jumped 80 points from about 3-4 weeks ago (now 191).

lingering cough after covid
hello everyone- my dad was diagnosed with MBC to his bone in May of 2022 and has begun Ibrance, letrozole,
xgeva
and lupron. (He is BRCA II positive). His tumor markers are now within a normal range and his primary breast tumor is unable to be felt anymore.

possible ONJ-- seeing an oral surgeon for the first time tomorrow morning
My dentist referred me to an oral surgeon as I have a small area of exposed bone behind my right lower molar, and have been on meds for bone mets (Zometa first, now
Xgeva
) since diagnosis in 2004.

Would Xgeva affect a bone biopsy?
My MO plans to put me on
Xgeva
, but not until after they biopsy the met in my acetabulum next month.
Xgeva
shouldn’t affect the cancer directly. Would it just strengthen the bone and make it more difficult to get the sample?

Choosing an MO
Such as, why do I need to be on
Xgeva
(or whatever it is) if my bone density is fine? They make something like $1200 for each shot. Is this why they want me to get it every month? How do you decide who is working for you or for the establishment?

Erleada and Dizziness
I have been on Erleada, Lupron and
Xgeva
for over 4 years. I took a 3 month hiatus and saw my PSA go from 1.2 to 6.9. I had my first PSMA PET scan. It showed mets to a number of areas on my skeleton. I started back up on my meds. About 2 weeks ago I started getting really dizzy.

Unusual side effect
I have recently started Xtandi,
Xgeva
, and Xofigo within a week of eachother. I am experiencing an unusual issue and am trying to decide if one of the medications might be responsible for it. My left leg is drawing up, contracting with the quad muscles, with a slight draw across the body.
