On Zytiga but PSA still Climbing
Also been taking Lupron and
Xgeva
for past two years. No bone pain, three small mets. I think I’ve received all available treatment short of radiation and/or removal which my docs are not recommending. Anyone know of other options?

Genetic testing-how useful is it?
I expect that after I become castrate resistant from my current therapy (6-7 months now of Eligard, Zytiga, Prednisone and
Xgeva
) I will need to consider a PARP inhibitor such as Olaparib or Rucaparib. On Nov 14 had robotic prostatectomy as part of SIMCAP clinical trial.

Bone Pains
He is taking Zytiga+Pred, Eligard (every 3mos) and
Xgeva
(monthly) and latest PSA is 1.44 from 33 prior to treatment (5mos ago). Are these pains from bone mets or SE of meds? Im not really sure. But he does stationary biking 4x a wk, swimming 2x a wk, some walking.

Rapidly increasing ALP levels....has anyone experienced?
Have done Taxotere,
Xgeva
, Lupron , Zytiga for one year but off now for one month. Long story but currently waiting to see about Xofigo treatment which was started while on Zytiga until this forum posted the warning from Bayer pharmaceuticals regarding Zytiga and Xofigo used together.

Help narrowing down NYC oncologists
Charles Myers and long story short: he's been <0.006 for two years now, while continuing on Lupron+Avodart+Zytiga+Metformin+Statins+
Xgeva
. SIde effects are no joke, but overall he's glad to be where he is, and hopes this protocol will keep working for a bit more.

Has anyone been treated by Dr. Bob Leibowitz @ Compassionate Oncology in Los Angeles?
My husband has MPC, currently on Lupron, Zytiga &
Xgeva
. We're looking for alternatives. I just finished reading Friedman's The New Testosterone Treatment which I believe Nalakrats mentioned - which led us to Dr. Leibowitz.

PSA stable? Good? Bad?
He is on Metformin, Lupron, prednisone, taxotere, and
xgeva
. He’s also getting Neulasta with each infusion that is being administered by a little cartridge on his abdomen. Any advice on something I may be missing for him to take or to ask the MO about?

Pain and Xgeva
On
Xgeva
for bone mets since February. Have constant low grade pain in trunk area and random pain in other areas. At times, pain spikes enough to wake me up at night. Seems like muscle pain. Quit lifting weights and golf for a while to see if that was the problem and it actually got worse.

Newly Diagnosed
I will be starting Zytiga with prednisone and
Xgeva
. We added the
Xgeva
because there is apparently a "suspect" area in my right femur. The odd piece is that my Lymph Nodes are exteemly enlarged in my chest cavity, and I am told this is a very unusual presentation.

BRCA2 positive - need for PARP inhibitor; Rucaparib, others?
Prednisone and
Xgeva
, which are working for me now with PSA down from 20 to 0.2 in 3 months. Also having robotic prostatectomy this Nov 14 as part of the SIMCAP clinical trial. Should I consider adding Rucaparib at this point, or wait until I become castrate resistant???

Stopping Zytiga after 6months
After our last checkup with our med onco last Friday, he mentioned that my husband can stop taking Zytiga if his PSA drops to below zero after 6months treatment and just continue with Eligard and
Xgeva
.

Lu-177-PSMA-617 update- (4 weeks after 1st treatment)
I really think it’s a combo of prolonged Lupron,
Xgeva
that causes hypokalemia and hypocalcemia and prednisone. The other electrolytes are low because those are. I’m not sure but it worries me when potassium, phosphorus, calcium and magnesium are low.
