Abiraterone failing...Xtandi next best step?
Started on lupron/abiraterone/prednisone and
Xgeva
infusions every 3 months. PSA lowered to 63.6 then 38.9 to 1.2 in December. PSA was 1.6 in January, 2.4 in February and 14.1 in May. Doctor wants to change from abiraterone to Xtandi. Has anyone had success with Xtandi?

Zometa vs Xgeva
So I'm going to start bone strengthening injections-it will either be Zometa or
Xgeva
. I'm just wondering what anyone's experiences been with either of these drugs. As always I appreciate all of your help and expertise! Aimee

I am on Arimidex, Kisqali,
Xgeva
and remain NED so far. My MO is checking PET scans every 3 months and TMs monthly. My CA15-3 was normal at diagnosis, bumped up to a peak of high 30s during treatment and now back down to 20s. I am doing great now almost at 15 months!!!

Bought time....I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.
I have been on Lupron for 25 months now...and
Xgeva
for almost as long. When I complained about bone pain/weakness/fatigue/hot flashes/etc....today he looked at me and said "didn't the other oncologist tell you when you started about the effects of long-term use of these treatments?

Xgeva and Immunotherapy
It shows C-Terminal Telopeptide (a blood marker of bone turnover) dropping 90% and staying down for over 120 days after a single dose, and the same effect was seen for both 60 mg (Prolia) and 120 mg (
Xgeva
) doses.

Questions to ask at new consult tomorrow AM (and future ones)? Also info on clinical trials? Other MO's you like?
Still on Lupron and
Xgeva
. Second cabazitaxel delayed a week due to high AST. Alkaline phosphatase is 379; current AST 93. PSA 46. He's anemic; WBC okay. Foundation One tests showed ROS1 fusion in liquid biopsy, not confirmed in solid; FMI is working with me on this.

Followers have been checking in on me...I'm STILL here!!! and so is my food! Pasta with chicken breast and peas in a creamy sauce
Doctor says this is a GOOD result...just going to be staying the course with Lupron and Xtandi...and I get to drop the
Xgeva
...ALREADY after two months off my bone pain is almost completely gone. She's mentioned "ball removal" and I'm thinking about it.

My question is what have been any of your experiences with
Xgeva
, and what was your dental situation? Thank you for any help in making this decision.

It's been almost three years battling the Beast and my treatments have been Zytiga,
Xgeva
, Eligard, and Provenge infusions still on them and don't intend to change unless Doc says so. Never give up never surrender. Leo

What’s next: Xtandi, Cabazitaxel or Lutetium-177
From the start of stage 4 diagnosis in 2018, husband did Zytiga, Docetaxel and then back to Zytiga along with
Xgeva
and Eligard. PSA went down to as much as 0.34 in Oct 2019 after 6 cycles of Docetaxel which he tolerated fairly well.

Husbands difficulty sleeping
Takes flomax daily, erleada daily, shots of Lupron and
Xgeva
every 3 months. His biggest complaint is not fully emptying his bladder and how long it takes to get the flow. He doesn’t sleep more then 2 hours at a time. He is afraid to self-catheter because of infection or puncture.

Ibrance vs Piquray
I have been stable almost 2 years on Ibrance, Letrazole and
Xgeva
. My latest bone scan is stable. The CT showed that a "shadow" in my liver grew about 1cm (previous 7 tumors are gone). My Oncologist wants to change me to Piquray and Fuvestrant, because I have the mutation.

Will my teeth fall out?
"Have you been switched to 3 month
Xgeva
injections. Am I just offering up a tempest in a tea cup?" By the way, I've never had a bone density test in the three years I've been playing this game of blind man's bluff. Thank you, Toothless in Seattle.

Starting Prolia injections.. but worried of side effects !!
IF I should start.. any reason that it should be Prolia and not
Xgeva
? NB: I fought myself into getting a PSMA PET/CT scan 2.5 months after radiation (which is in 5 weeks from now) to see the current state and effect of radiation (to bone mets).. Also had one for diagnosis...

Xgeva side effects?
I’ve been on
xgeva
monthly for years then switched to guarterly about a year ago. I’ve been having these issues which as I read about
xgeva
I wonder if I should go on a vacation: numbness in toes and soles of feet, pain in groin , back pain, unsteadiness . My bone mass scans have been normal.

Chemotherapy Cycle 3 and a Blog Post
To enhance the side effects, I also got lupron and
xgeva
injections at the end of the first week. Add in my daily abiraterone, and I'm on 6 drugs right now and wondering why I'm so tired all the time, as I'm about to head out for a 4 mile walk after clicking "Post".
