Skin issues, hives and welts
I have been on Ibrance and letrozole since my diagnosis along with
Xgeva
injections monthly. Just changed from
Xgeva
to Zometa which will be every three months. Starting in March I have been having random outbreaks of swelling and welts on my skin.

Update on Scans
I will get my bloodwork and
xgeva
shot in 3 months. So I will continue on Letrozole and 75mg Ibrance. So thanks to everyone who took the time to pray for me and to send positive, inspiring words. I felt very peaceful! God answered our prayers and I give Him all the Praise!

Update on Jim July 2021: (Cabazitaxel, ?Immunotherapy)
Jim continues to take Eligard and
Xgeva
every 3 months. All treatments are done locally. The 4 hour drive to Stanford is too much for Jim. We still consult with his Stanford Urology Oncologist on a regular basis.

How do you know if Xtandi has stopped working?
Last 2 months haven’t been great - increase in pains / urinary retention etc Now blood reports show his PSA increased from 0.03 to 0.04 and ALP from 173 to 281 The doc says the reports are normal and to switch from Zometa to
Xgeva
.

Does an enlarged prostate alter your PSA
Due to being on
xgeva
I am watching the calcium which was low, 8.6 so I have been increasing with a supplement and dairy products. The calcium went to 8.7, up .1 the same as the PSA reading , is there a correlation in there , I am on arbitrone since the middle of last December of 2020.

Seeking anything you would like to share
I am set up for scans, bloodwork and my
xgeva
shot on Monday. My oncologist has been on an emergency leave so I havent seen him since January. I saw another oncologist whom I really liked also. I have not had scans in 5 months.

How often are scans done
Going next week for my 6 month scan since last December when the psa was 15.5, since doing arbitrone with prednisone and
xgeva
and lupron, the psa is now at .7. If the psa drops why would they do a CT scan when the last one showed no disease progression.

***Six months scans results are back ***
My treatment so far is Zytiga, Eligard,
Xgeva
which has since been stopped because it caused dead bone in the jaw that had to be removed, Provenge infusions two years ago.

Ibrance and Infection protocol?
In total, I’ve been on it for 1 year plus monthly
Xgeva
shots and Letrozole. I started this last cycle 18 days ago with low neutrophils for me, 1.1, and have felt badly neutropenic this entire cycle, with less energy, shortness of breath, etc.

No more Letrozole
They removed the tumor and I was then put on fulvestrant and
xgeva
shots. They worked wonders for 7 years. It is now in my pelvis. I was taken off the fulvestrant injections and put on Ibrance and Letrozole in November of 2020.

Xgeva to Zometa
Just some info......Elgie had his Trelstar and
Xgeva
appointment yesterday. Out of the blue they switched him from
Xgeva
to Zometa due to.... they don't carry
Xgeva
any longer because it cost too much. By nighttime his bones hurt so bad that he couldn't even walk.

Very important to ALWAYS use a bone-strengthening agent with Xofigo
They used frequent whole-body mpMRI to show that all men who are on long-term hormone therapy for mCRPC should be taking a bone-strengthening agent (like
Xgeva
or Zometa) but particularly if they are using Xofigo. https://www.prostatecancer.news/2021/02/xofigo-20.html

Anyone using Dr. Scott Tagawa in NYC @ Cornell?
I was on Zytiga 2.5 years , Lupron since chemo (ended 11/2017) and
Xgeva
since chemo. However I stopped
Xgeva
4.5 months ago because of I now have MONOJ. This past 02/2021 I just had 20 rounds of radiation to the prostate.

When to do a CT scan?
And then in February monthly
Xgeva
shots were added to the mix. The latest blood work showed that his PSA is now at .07 (that’s with prostate intact) and the alkaline phosphate s now in the normal range. Scott has his next appointment with MO in June.
