Update
Hi I posted a couple of weeks ago about my brother who is currently in the QEB with liver disease. You all gave such helpful advice so i’m here with an update. Things have been up and down. A few days ago he finally got a room on a liver ward as opposed to the general ward, this has been much better

Having Rotator cuff repair tomorrow, and Moh's surgery next week.
Hi, Well, I made through the past week without aspirin and my anti-inflammatories, which I sorely missed, so that tomorrow they can fix my rotator cuff. Then next week, while I'm already out on leave, the basal cell cancer on my nose gets its turn. Hopefully, things go well, so please wish me luck

Meeting from Online Dating
Hi guys, I started talking to a great guy on a dating website. We really hit it off and we are still talking daily. After a few months of talking and getting to know each other, we are planning to meet in person soon. I expressed how excited I was to see him and kiss him. He was in a car accident and

Methane Overgrowth
I have IBS M and have done for a while (used to be D but now changed to M). I came back from Brazil and had horrendous diarrhea for almost 3 weeks. All tests with the GP came back clear. I started the fodmap elimination as well as going on sertraline and taking 1 tbsp of a linseed mix wiith my breakfast

Diverticulitis, hemerrhoids (?), fissure (?), bleeding
Hello. After a pretty unusual bout of diverticulitis diagnosed by a CT scan, I saw my GI doc and he wants to do another colonoscopy. This is my 4th bout in 6 years - not very bothered by it - but the last one, well, I could not get the stool out, and then started pooping orangy slime. After that I went

Victory with scrip mess
I trust. Been told the scrip has been issued. With my luck the chemist's will mislay it. No, I didn't say that. I took on board Body_bonkers' point about their receiving many letters and at the weekend opened a second front, sending the following through their messaging system I[i] shall run out

Anyone else finding the breastfeeding journey tough?
I am 8 weeks in and feeling so defeated today.... Our little one is still not gaining enough weight. Trying everything - formula, breastfeeding, tongue tie, cranial osteopathy.... So exhausted and emotional now after so many weeks working so hard.... I know others might be also going through this

Bio Feedback
Has anyone had success with biofeedback? Our son is 13 and had dyspraxia, he can't locate his pelvic floor so as to engage the sensors at the hospital. Anyone have any suggestions on what we could do? We have 5 more sessions (4 hour round trip plus appointment) so it would be good to try and make

UK - Liver Resection
I'm having my liver resection on Friday 18th August to remove HCC and I'm just falling apart. I'm so scared and nervous. I feel sick, I'm bloated (from stress), I feel I have no desire to eat properly so I'm eating the wrong foods. I'm getting heart burn too. I'm convinced it's all anxiety related to

Induced coma
Hello, I was an induced coma for 6 weeks from early may, I'm out of hospital and home now. I'm finding my memory is terrible. I have no memory from about a month before my admission and now I keep forgetting little things and lots of them, like remembering to look at my diary where I have written appointments

Tongue tie....
Not sure if anyone has any positive post tongue tie procedure breastfeeding stories to share? We have been recommended to get this done and I am so sceptical this will change any of our feeding issues.... I am dreading the actual procedure too for my baby as I has this with my first child and I found

Disimpacted 9 year old and still soiling
my 9 year old has been suffering with chronic constipation for 6 years, we are all at our wits end. It is hugely affecting my, but more importantly her, mental health. At the beginning of July we had a hospital stay for disimpaction via a NG tube. This was effective. Doctor prescribed 5 ml of sodium

25 years of daily heavy drinking
hi, I have been one of the lucky ones, and I’m not writing this to gloat, I’ve read many of the stories on here about the effects of drinking, and it has been through reading these and re-assessing my own lifestyle that I was able to finally go to the doctor and tell him the truth about my drinking.
