High MCV & MCH update
Good morning all I just wanted to update you on my previous post. All blood tests came back normal apart from very high B12 and Folate and a note under differential white blood count saying "RBC show mildly macrocytic picture" MCV & MCH were still abnormal but lower than a couple of weeks previously

Please help - private blood test (1 + 2)
I’ve been and am quite unwell and thought it was T3 but recent private blood tests show something else? (Tested 24 hours between Levothyroxine). * TPO 933?? I’m not sure how to proceed to get back to functioning and feeling normal. Been taken all recommended supplements, but perhaps I’m not absorbing

Thank you
Just wanted to thank all the forum members who replied to my plea for help yesterday. Thanks for allaying my fears a bit, and giving me some hope that I might get through this, and not do something silly. I'm still in a pretty dark place (thanks to B12 deficiency), but as a result of reading your replies

Hi could someone please give some advice on my recent test results from medicheck? For comparison I have added my thyroid results taken via my GP surgery last December, result was TSH 0.40 M/IU/L (0.27-4.2). I have started to feel quite out of sorts e.g over heated, low energy, headaches so had a blood

Help finding cardiologist - Bradycardia - West Herts NHS Trust (Will travel for good private Consultant)
Long story short..finally got GP to look at low bp (been low for 20 years but..) I asked for a different GP after being told time and time again 'some people have low heart rate!!). I've know somethings been wrong over past 18months. Electrocardiogram showed 'slow heart' and bp drop lying to to standing

Low bp causing tiredness?
it’s just over a year since my cardiac arrest and I just had a review at my surgery. I was keen to try lowering my atorvastatin dose due to aches and pains and fatigue (and had also been warned I was sat risk of diabetes). They agreed to try lowering my dose from 80 to 40 mg and also arranged blood tests

Feel at rock bottom and can't see a way out. Need help to get over this.
Hi all, Sorry if this seems like another 'needy post. I've bored you all enough with my problems over the last few weeks. Now one month into my SI EOD, and feel like in this reversing out, I've hit rock bottom mentally. I feel like the mood changes I'm experiencing are getting more extreme, and the

Forum has been source of sanity in my B12 mystery journey
It's obvious we're becoming the experts by researching everything--while in distress I might add, so hard. I feel for everyone's suffering at the hands of unknowledgeable and dismissive providers. My first serum test was 158 treated orally (finding out for myself there's synthetic cyanocobalamin and

Correct dose of b12 post abdominal surgery/stoma bag
I am trying to help my son. Many years ago he was diagnosed with Crohns disease and over the years has had extensive abdominal surgery. He now has a stoma bag. At present he is taking 1000mcg of b12 but I have recently read that he needs at least 2000 mcg! He is constantly feeling unwell! I would

Advice on test results before GP appointment
Hello all. Just wanted to say firstly how great it is to finally find somewhere where people can understand how you feel when you have hypothyroidism, and take the time to support you trying to take control of your own health. I was finally diagnosed and started treatment for autoimmune hypothyroidism

I did a 45 minute spin class last night and I feel no pain today
Just wanted to share a positive update. Been on b12 injections since around March 2023. It's been a rough ride to say the least but I'm celebrating cuz I was actually able to do a spin class last night! The ability to exercise has been up and down the past few months. Right when I think I can do it and

B12 leaking out of top of vial. Safe?
I'm about half way thru a bottle. When I put the needle in the top to push the air out and suck it in to the syringe it goes into syringe fine but starts dripping out of the puncture hole too and down the outside of the needle. I decided to throw the bottle away cuz seemed like there maybe some concern

Impryl and other supplements
Looking for people who have taken impryl ahead of egg collection. I’m currently taking Inessa pregnancy supplement, if I take impryl I’m not sure if I am over doing it by taking both but Impryl doesn’t to my knowledge contain vitamin D for example. So I am wondering if anyone has advice on taking too

Help with results and medication prescribed
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s a few months ago after some routine private bloods for peri-menopause issues. TPO antibodies result then was >1300. Was advised by private menopause clinic to see private thyroid clinic. Also went to GP who said he would just monitor with yearly bloods as TSH fine. But
