recurrent fungal infections & reaction to probiotics
In December I spoke to a lovely lady in my local health shop who recommended trying 2g of
vitamin

pick me up, and she also advised that it would clear my gut of bad bacteria as that may be the root of the problem.

Recommendation request for 2nd opinion and interpretation of results
I'm looking for feedback (via private DM please) from anyone who has been seen by Mr Barnes (Endocrinologist) at Tunbridge Wells or a Dr Christine Suppelt, Rose Cottage Clinic also in Kent. Would appreciate any perspectives on either clinician, both of whom I found on the Thyroid UK practitioners' list

I need facts on nutrition, vitamins and supplements.
I am a 5 year survivor, currently in recurrence with a rising PSA. Doc has started me on Lupron and Enzalutamide. I’m interested in learning factual info on the effects of diet, nutrition, vitamins and supplements on PCa. I’ve read tons of theories. Where are the clinical reports? Thanks!

Prednisolone and osteopenia
Hi I had a Dex scan a few weeks ago and my bone density showed I have osteopenia, I was given calcium and
vitamin
D tablets to take twice
a
day. So would it help if I drank milk to help to augment this as I don't have milk normally but have yogurt. Thank you in advance for any replies. Peter.

Switching from Levothyroxine to Liothyronine
I do take
a
good multivitamin however, together with magnesium and
vitamin
D. My iron is usually on the low side so I take ferrous fumarate which I get on prescription. Ideally I would like my TSH to not be suppressed (mainly to get doctors off my back!) whilst having a good level of T4 and T3.

New blood results, still feel rubbish
I had full TT in March, some tissue remaining. I started on 25mcg of Levothyroxine but felt awful so Endocrinologist has increased this to 50 mcg with added 10 mcg of t3. I still don’t feel great. I slept from 1 pm until 4 yesterday, unheard of for me, I am 64 and normally very active. I also have very

Need advice understanding results
I’ve looked into supplements along the way and now take
Vitamin
D 8000iu, multivitamin, omega 3, magnesium and eat
a
few Brazil nuts each day for selenium. Maybe I just need to wait and see if it gets worse but it doesn’t sound like a great plan.

Best diet and supplementation guide for hypothyroidism?
Is there a really simple list of vitamins (and best times of day to take them) and a list of foods to avoid when starting out of levothyroxine? I have such brain fog that I'm struggling to compile a plan for myself. I really need to lose the weight I've recently piled on too. Also I have ADHD so I struggle

Levo Brands/NICE guidelines
I understand the gp’s comment that she can only prescribe within NICE guidelines but she will work with me to come up with
a
plan to find answers.
Vitamin

It is a similar question to many. where to buy? with lab results
I wont but vitamins Bit D antibodies here (as apart from folate) cannot produce methyl folate, B12, Vit D all midrange big (ferritin is always high so might get tested for iron overload), never ever any thyroid antibodies. I will just post the thyroid today, before covid on 3 grains NDT and 2 Grains

A little update
Hi all, I just thought I'd give a little update as I've not posted here in about a year and just possibly my experience may be of interest. I am not in ANY way invalidating anyone else's condition or treatment, this is just my story. For years I have struggled with low mood, lacking 'oomph' in life.

Blood results help please
Hi I’m hypothyroid following Graves’ disease then radio iodine about 20 years ago. Was stable on 125 levo until I got Covid and have had long covid - debilitating fatigue - for a year now. I thought it was thyroid related. Following advice on this forum - thank you - I got blood tests and results

DEXA and Leaky Bowels
Two questions for my knowledgeable chums. I was diagnosed in November 2023 and after a battle with my GP managed to get a DEXA scan in early April. Results are that this 75 year old has the typical bone density profile of a 30 year old. Yay! Is it reasonable to push for another scan after 6 months
