My first post and need advice please
So here I am a couple of months later, no cough, no wheezing, no feeling that I need to use the
Ventolin
and haven't used the Forsair. I'm 74 and have chronic back pain but I get out walking most days and I can keep up a reasonable pace and hold a conversation without any problem.

Ventolin
few times a day. I sleep in a reclining chair or use a wedge pillow and helps barely as I still cough a lot worse at night. I never eat late. I drink lots of water and I take probiotics and vitamins. Thats my story so far....any advice appreciated. I keep reading

Asthma attack vs exaccerbation
The past couple of years I’ve been fine with just the odd puff of
ventolin
and no other symptoms but I got a chest infection last week and found that couldn’t stop coughing and weirdly breathing out was harder than breathing in.

Bad reaction to Fostair.
I never needed to use the
Ventolin
inhaler, and felt as if I was asthma free! But 7 or 8 weeks down the line, and I have developed a few problems, the worst is a recurring raised and itchy rash with swollen wheals of raised skin on my neck and rash on my face, neck, chest and back.

Has anyone else encountered this problem with
ventolin
. It was as if when i was puffing very little came out of the unhaler itself.

Plants in bedroom
My chest and breathing feel a whole lot better in the morning, I used to reach straight for the
ventolin
, but not any more.

Endo and asthma
The cold part clearly fairly quickly, but the cough seemed to get better, then got worse again so I went to my GP who diagnosed seasonal asthma triggered by cold temperatures, so prescribed inhalers - both steroid and regular
ventolin
. However, it seems it's not just seasonal!

Exercise induced asthma?
He doesn't like using
ventolin
because it makes him shakey, He gets breathless very quickly when he exercises - but he is not wheezy - his chest is clear.

New To Asthma--Some Questions
When I was sick with the bacterial infection I was on
Ventolin
and some other pills. Then I switched to Seretide (morning and night) and was given bricanyl as an emergency inhaler. I was still experiencing shortness of breath every day and it totally impacted my every day life.

Reaction to Thunderstorm
I used my
ventolin
wuth four puffs which resolved my tight chest. I found it diffucult to sleep last night as it was so hot and humid. I woke again at 3am and had so more
ventolin
4 puffs. Then was able to get back to sleep. I woke up with a sore chest as I think my muscle was so tight.

So frustrated
When I stop taking it I then have to use my
ventolin
at least 10 times a day and during the night. Asthma nurse ran out of ideas so sent me to a specialist, he basically asked me to show him my inhaler technique which I did, he said it was awful but refused to show me how to use it (wtf???)

Severe asthma and lots of attacks (? Allergy related), any advice during wait to see consultant?
My meds were changed in October last year (simbicort to fostair) as I was taking
ventolin
every day, and my chest really didn't like fostair.

Bad asthma but good SATS. A&E experience
Eventually I was taken through to a doctor, given a nebuliser with
Ventolin
and a handful of steroid pills, then x-rayed. Finally got out of there but it wasn’t until about 9pm at home that chest started to feel easier. Nightmare. Throughout it all I felt that nobody took me seriously.

Cold/allergy/asthma?
(I realise I'm probably asking the impossible, sorry) Peak flow is definitely lower at 65-75%, and
ventolin
does ease the breathlessness so I'm assuming it is my asthma.

Inhalers
I currently am taking Spiriva Respimat and Symbicort, with
Ventolin
as my rescue inhaler, and I am finding that I'm using the
Ventolin
more than I used to.
