It's been a lovely day today.
I took two puffs on my
Ventolin
inhaler but after 30 mins needed another two puffs. After another 15 mins I started to calm down but it scared me for the rest of the evening. From now on I'll take it steady! Today I had my MRI Scan for the trapped spinal nerve we think I've got.

Struggling today...
This time last year my asthma kicked off big time (after having had about 20 years with not even
ventolin
). By the time I got to September I was on Symbicort SMART - 2 puffs (200/6) morning and night, + up to 8 puffs as required. This seemed to have got everything under control.

I have a chest infection and I never knew!
Last week I had a check up with the nurse at the COPD clinic to see how I was getting on with the changeover from
Ventolin
to Spiriva.

Dealing with Multiple Doctors
The last four days things have gradually gotten worse: Pre-
ventolin
PF has dropped to 75% of personal best.
Ventolin
does make significant improvements, but I can't get to personal best anymore even with ventoline.

Hay Fever
A toot on my
ventolin
sorted it quickly, but its going to be a long season, I think. It's weird how
ventolin
does nothing for my emphysema (I have Spiriva for that), but its great for hay fever chestiness. Lynne xx

Question for Ventolin Accuhaler users
I've used my
Ventolin
Accuhaler for the first time this morning. I did everything correctly - opened by pushing away on the thumbgrip and exposing the mouthpiece then slid the small lever until I heard a click (the one that puts the medicine in the mouthpiece).

Alternative reliever inhaler to Ventolin (Salbutamol)
What alternative inhalers - reliever type - are there instead of
Ventolin
? I've found that
Ventolin
gives me discomfort in the chest (indigestion type pain). My nurse suggested Spiriva and my GP changed my prescription.

Abandoned car!
Now here is where it gets really funny - well I think so - grabbing my
Ventolin
and taking a good deep inhalation I really laid into this middle aged man with an obviously little "P" complex going by his car :D Meanwhile my daughter had taken my keys from me and had reversed my car into the space quite

My G.P. is a star!
Trip to G.P. today for rescue meds,
Ventolin
and advice. Ended up with rescue meds,
Ventolin
, auntybee's for yet another urine infection, pills for possible Reynauds and blood tests for 'thingy' - actually four 'thingys' (her words not mine!).

advice sought for 6 year old daughter
So I guess my question is, is this a 'trial of medication' or is
ventolin
used to cure coughs in kids? Also, how long from taking it, to it working? I will find out what were supposed to do when she's finished it too.

Feeling kind of frustrated
For much of yesterday and today,
ventolin
was barely laating an hour or two before the peak flow dropped right back down to where it had been. I'm on so much steroids (2000/day seretide + 30mg pred) and this is still happening.
