Mediterranean diet
There was a question posted recently about diet and how to ensure that you are getting enough nutrients from food. I thought my answer might be useful to others, so here is much of information that I posted and a bit more in case anyone missed it. I attended a course on the microbiome (gut bacteria)

There's more of us than I thought!
Hullo, I'm new here although I did look at the blogs some time ago. Basically I have the pre bowel movement anxiety (PBMA) thing that many others mention. I first started to notice this about 10 years ago and I get anxiety and occasional panic attacks anyway it took me a long time to make the connection

Do I have a thyroid problem?
Hi all, I have no idea if I have a thyroid problem, but I think I do. I have been struggling to conceive and whenI have I have suffered miscarriages. I also noticed 3 years ago a small goitre in my neck. I had tests done in the summer as I spoke with my GP about being tired and my neck and my fertility

What more can I do???
I'm having monthly episodes of SVT now, the latest last Mon (12 7 2020) did not resolve at home when I took another Metoprolol Extended Release tablet as my EP suggested, so off I went to the Emergency Room for an intravenous of different meds. Beta blocker intravenously did nothing, but calcium channel

4 weeks after adding t3. Lab results. What to do now?
I was supposed to wait 6 weeks until testing but I’ve got an email from my dr saying they are closing for a month on Wednesday (16th of December) so I felt I needed to go to check my levels before. I went this morning so unfortunately I took my last dose of T4 and T3 26 hours before testing ( not 8-

A little help please...!
Hi all and thanks for reading! Back in January 2019 I was prescribed PPI's for terrible reflux and right sided pain just under the part of the rib before it curves around. A month on these and I felt better, pain gone. HPylori test taken 10 days after stopping treatment and negative. Pain and reflux

Flecainide maintenance dose with beta blocker
Just back from appointment with my cardiologist. My holter monitor that I had on last week showed around 10000 atrial ectopics but no atrial fibrillation. That’s a massive amount to have and I felt pretty poorly. He did say that they were all benign and wouldn’t cause any damage. Upshot is I’m now starting

SUPPLEMENTING INTO (OR OUT OF) A HEALTHIER LIFE?
Okay, I realize most hypo or hyper thyroid patients take hormone pills, T4 or T3, NDT or combo’s of these. But, I also realize that vitamin supplementation is needed and, in fact some thyroid problems are, ostensibly performed by osteopaths that many claim have helped them considerably & a combination

1.25mg bisoprolol
I’ve got my cardio appointment on Tuesday and I suspect that I’ll be going on a maintenance dose of flecainide. The cardio on the last appt suggested that I’ll have to take 1.25mg bisoprolol, the lowest dose. This is due to my blood pressure average being around 115/75. I’m aware that beta blockers reduce

Feet and leg cramps
Could I be under/over-medicated, as I have been getting chronic night cramps in my feet and legs. I am out of bed @4 times a night with this awful pain. I am taking "Sirdalud" muscle relaxing med's when I go to bed, but it only seems to last a couple of hours, then I am awake with the dreaded cramp again
