Tysabri rebound - switching to Ocrevus
Been on
Tysabri
6 years. JCV has been “indeterminate” until 6 months ago, but now low positive and my neuro says it’s time to switch. I’m interested in anyone’s experience switching to Ocrevus from
Tysabri
. Have read about “
Tysabri
rebound” and am quite concerned.

Same diseases or not?
I took
tysabri
, a monoclonal antibody treatment for two years. Then I was dx'd with PD and am still taking Rytary, a form of sinemet. My only symptom was olfactory hallucinations. This was smelling things that aren't real.

This might be TMI but I’m trying to see if anyone has had their DMT cause kidney trouble.
All of it made me wonder if being on 10 years of powerful DMT’s screwed up my kidneys. (5 years on
Tysabri
and now 5 years on Ocrevus.) So…I wanted to ask the MS peeps here if anyone has experienced kidney problems from their DMT and if so, what did you do about it?

Well after a summer of infections I've had to switch from
Tysabri
to Aubagio. Two life flights to the hospital with sepsis has made that decision for me. I have been on the Aubagio for over a month now with no problems except one small infection that I handled myself.

Apologies for my absence
My JCV titers are approaching the cutoff for
Tysabri
at 1.40, so that is no longer option either even tho I did quite well on
Tysabri
. Aubagio is the only other choice i think because the others tank the immune system so badly.

Ocrevus without steroids
One was getting his first Ocrevus infusion and the other was getting her
Tysabri
infusion. I was jealous cuz she came in after me and go to leave before me! At least the center has nice new comfy chairs. I saw my neuro today & she was pleased that I didn't have any reactions.

Looks like my neuro wants to change treatment due to new lesion. 😔
This is the first new lesion in over 8 years: 5 years on
Tysabri
and the last 3 on Ocrevus. I’m frustrated to learn this but not surprised to be honest. I’ve been having weird unrelenting medical problems since last October and have been trying to figure out what’s causing what.

Just got my first Moderna vaccine on the 26th
I had my
Tysabri
infusion on the 24th and my stomach was feeling a little cranky. Thought it was just a food thing until Thursday rolled around and I didn’t feel any better so I figured I had the flu.

Covid-19 first shot
After close consultation with my doctor and finally finding some results of patience on
tysabri
. One study shows that the vaccine will be 77% effective. it seems to be a little bit different with each medicine but with the news of the mutations of the virus coming out. I have to do it.

Tysabri and how you feel when it is almost time for an infusion
Hello everyone, I have been getting
Tysabri
infusions for for four months now and I am noticing that for several days leading up to my infusion I am more tired than usual. I am just curious if anyone else has noticed anything similar.

How common are olfactory hallucinations--AKA phantosmia-- in PD?
I knew it was coming time for the monthly
tysabri
when I was beginning to have the hallucinations again. The day after the infusion the hallucinations were gone. Ultimately I no longer would get the hallucinations and asked the neuro if we could stop the
tysabri
infusions.

Ocrevus vs Tysabri/ iv steroids
My next drug will likely be Ocrevus or
Tysabri
. Have any of you been on both?? Am looking at what side effects that others have experienced and which they liked better. Am trying to weigh the risks/benefits. Thanks

Does Tysabri Lower Immunity? If Contracting Covid19 Does Having MS Lessen Survival?
Does
Tysabri
cause the immune system? If so, how many days after infusion should I isolate from others, especially children and in the current covid-19 pandemic. Does
Tysabri
make me more susceptible to viruses? As, I have come down with viruses from our toddler grandson, on two occasions.
