Dynamic Duo to the rescue?
"DYNAMIC DUO TO SAVE HUMANITY FROM EVIL BAT VIRUS" would make a good headline in the Daily Planet. Unfortunately for humanity, while the bat virus is real the Caped Crusader and his sidekick are not. OK, while some will go to their grave insisting that the virus is imaginary, most people believe that

Back to Melatonin - Dosing?
I won't go as deep as Art does on Melatonin, but am picking up on a point Art makes often: Dosing! I read all these papers and frankly skim over a lot. Today somebody on FB reposted one of my favorites: 2021 - Melatonin as a Chronobiotic and Cytoprotective Agent in Parkinson’s Disease https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Statins and adrenal androgen levels in prostate cancer: A new twist

Great hepatologist not so great treatment
I see my hepatologist every 6 months because I am participating in the Intercept clinical trial. However, he doesn't really treat my illness. If I bring up anything, he tells me to contact my PCP. Even when I call to ask for say, a recommendation for safe OTC medications. My hepatologist is very knowledgeable

Ivermectin for Cancer
I picked up a little Ivermectin for its possible anti-Covid-19 properties. Maybe I should take it for PC? The mechanism discussed is above my pay grade, and it certainly seems unlikely that it is effective against all or most cancers. Highlights Ivermectin effectively suppresses the proliferation and

Modified Citrus Pectin - Galectin-3 Inhibitors
Modified Citrus Pectin is OTC and is, I guess, a relatively weak Galectin-3 Inhibitor. More powerful Galectin-3 Inhibitors are in development. https://www.alzdiscovery.org/uploads/cognitive_vitality_media/Galectin-3-Inhibitors-Cognitive-Vitality-For-Researchers.pdf Evidence Summary Have the potential

Has your Oncologist broke up with you???
Well Hello, On Thursday went to start my 2nd cycle of Topotecan, which I thought was the norm type of day - blood drawn, labs, visit Dr and then get treatment. Well when my Oncologist came into the room sat down and said he thinks it isn't working because lately I was getting nauseous. So he doesn't

CHAMP Clinical Trial Time for this kid
Greetings Brothers. Just met with my MO at Duke Cancer Institute and the clinical trials experts. Given my prostate has evolved to Gleason 10 and neuroendocrine (small cell) I'm in the process of qualifying for the CHAMP trial: Nivolumab, ipilimumab, cabazitaxel and carboplatin. I'm aware the predicament

Another clinical trial resource
When my sons treatment stops being effective, I start this rather panicked roller coaster ride of seeking new treatment and clinical trials. It’s just how I handle things and move forward I guess . I need to feel that I have left few stones unturned . My last search was in May. Today I got a followup
