The Queen is ready!
Hi everyone. It has been a while but I'm still here just haven't had time to get on and make a post. My latest thing is a few weeks ago I found out my parathyroid is acting up so the doctor put me on cincalet to see if it will help me. He did mention that surgery may have to happen if it doesn't adjust

Home dialysis concerns
My husband was diagnosed with end stage renal failure in May 2024. He was going to a dialysis clinic 3 times a week for his treatments. Last week we started the home dialysis training process. As the caregiver I’m really nervous about this, afraid I may be able to do it or may harm my husband during

What clinic trials have been successful?
My husband's next oncologist appointment is tomorrow. PSA is at 74. It has been a roller coaster ride since March 2017. Prostate removed with many complications in hospital. Was there for 2 weeks, which should have been 2 days. Was weak for several months after. Follow up appointment 3 months later

Questions to ask at first Hepatology appointment
Hello all,I finally have my first Hepatology clinic appointment this week. All LFTs were normal in January, and hepatitis and autoimmune

Following on from synacthen test.....
....and feeling pathetic at the hospital. Thank you for all your replies. On to my next question - Prior to the synacthen test I got down to 5mg pred but the last 3 weeks I had been feeling as though 5mg wasn't enough. I'd had several bouts of S&D, also fatigued by the heat..I thought it may have been

Prayers needed
My aunt has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She's already lost a kidney and was widowed 13 months ago. She's a wonderful woman who has kept smiling and remained good-humored through everything, but how much can one person take? Her husband was my late father's little brother and my last

Back on Haemodialysis
Well that moment has happened. I am back on dialysis. I have been so lucky. I am 29 years and 3 months transplanted. I have been declining with stage 5 CKD over the last couple of years. Originally I had atypical HUS which caused my kidney failure. I had my catheter put in yesterday and haemodialysis

ALP and GGT results
Good morning everyone, I was diagnosed last November and started taking Urso right away. However, didn’t take the full dosage as per my weight until mid April. I just had my bloods done and my ALP as well as GGT are the same as three months ago…ALP is 177 and GGT is 225. They have come down since

2 spots
I was undetected for a year after pelvic radiation then my PSA went up to .04 so we did a PSMA scan and discovered 2 spots, although one was on a rib. My PSA was .36 so the spots were radiated. I am having a slight pain in the area where the rib is located. My PSA has gone down to .26 so it’s moving

Recurring UTIs
Hello friends, Seeking advice to support my dad with advanced PC. Good news, he just finished Pluvicto (6 rounds) and his PSAs are below 1. Bad news, he has literally had one UTI after another for about 18 months. After being hospitalized multiple times for them, the doctors started testing him
