I was diagnosed with PMR five years ago and my gp kept me on Prednisolone for two years which resulted in a catalogue of side effects including glaucoma and cataracts. My diagnosis was confirmed as RA shortly after. I have been taking methotrexate successfully since. However my condition has worsened

PMR symptoms after steroid injection 12 days ago
Happy New Year everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas .🎄 I posted just before Christmas about awful shoulder and neck pain and that I saw a private doctor who thinks my symptoms are PMR. He gave me a steroid injection. It has helped dampen down the pain. It was excruciating but has since

steroid injection
Hi everyone Happy New Year to you all. Can anyone answer my question if it's safe to have a steroid injection for frozen shoulder if you have open angle glaucoma? Don't know what to do. Many thanks in advance.

I was diagnosed with PMR January 2023 my initial response to steroids was like a miricle...My journey has been very rocky with trying to reduce steroids and 7 mg seems to be my sticking point. My wife recently had check up at NAC everything fine. Then gets bad chest infection also hay fever this year.
Hello, Back on September 1st my wife had her second 6 monthly check up after stopping medication for aspergillus nodule in left lung as her condition was stable. At the time chest was clear and she was really well. All blood tests show aspergillus count now back down to an acceptable level - another

Methotrexate Confusion
I was diagnosed with PMR and GCA in 2015! I naively thought that these conditions would have “burned themselves out” some time ago, but I am still waiting! In the meantime I have a question about Methotrexate… On the suggestion of my Rheumatologist I started taking 10mg of Methotrexate a week in 2017

Tiredness and feeling weak, any tips?
These last few days I've felt tired and weak, even after just waking up. Walking up the stairs is tiring, I took a short walk on Friday, and on the way back I had to make stops to sit down and rest. My legs have been aching but it's not like I've done anything strenuous. I'm coming down on steroids which
