Mumps contact š·
I have RA and my main meds are
Tocilizumab
(injection), Methotrexate (injection) and Sulphasalazine. Do I have to be particularly careful that I do not come in contact with a child who possibly has mumps? I know Chicken Pox is a concern, but can't find anything about mumps.

Cost of tocilizumab
My NHS entitlement to TCZ will expire soon. Has anyone tried to 'go private' and pay for it?

"Scientists achieve breakthrough in treating 'neglected' polymyalgia rheumatica" - that's the headline but don't get too excited ...
However - it is still a monoclonal antibody, a biologic, which does the same as
tocilizumab
/Actemra, and I imagine that means it is still pretty pricey.

does everyone take methotrexate?
I was given
Tocilizumab
as apparently thatās good with out the methotrexate however my condition is not very well controlled. I have already tried Baricitnib, Enbrel, rituximab (allergic reaction). The consultant mentioned adulilumab or Filgotinib.

Tocilizumab in the UK
Instead I am treated with Methotrexate and
tocilizumab
which I received for a year as in standard in the UK. I was worried about what would happen when year expired which it now has.

Medicines and dementia risk
I'm also taking
tocilizumab
injections weekly and am now on 7.5 mg prednisolone. I would be grateful for your experience of dementia risk medicines and less risky alternatives. Thank you.

Adrenals
I also take
Tocilizumab
and Methotrexate as Iāve had a difficult time with the Prednisolone so many side effects. How do I know if my adrenal glands are working correctly? What are the symptoms if theyāre not working properly?

experience with Tocilizumab
I have Gca and have now been prescribed weekly injections of
Tocilizumab
(self administered). Lately I have found that should I be exposed to sunlight I have scabs appear on my face, is this a common symptom when using Toc ? Has anyone else experienced this problem? Michael

Flying with Tocilizumab
Talk about last minute....looking for reassurance that airline won't confiscate meds at security. European flight. Got the cool bag but quick look in FAQ and suddenly thought, am I supposed to have a letter from GP? Too late for that. So I've come to the Oracle...

I am immunosupressed due to taking
Tocilizumab
for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Temporal Arteritis. I would appreciate any feed back before I make the decision.

Now on the LVV journey too
Anyway, back to 60mg prednisone and consultant is applying for
tocilizumab
as long as new bloods and chest x-ray are okay. I initially felt quite panicky with the results but Iāve had a good chat with myself.

Thank you.
Thank you to everyone who answered my question about taking Antibiotics with
Tocilizumab
. I should have looked at my leaflet but I had so much going on I didnāt think about that. I was trying to sort out my prescription and had 2 men digging up my front path to lay cables for fibre broadband.
