Looking after your eyes when inserting Eye drops!
Nearly all of us who have eye problems use eye medications of some sort. Please always remember to insert the drops whilst lying down for maximum benefit.A fact that only 20 % of the eye drop is needed to reduce the eye pressure effectively. The remainder is wasted. This is where Punctual Occlusion is

Annual Flu Jab/Shot
Today, I received my 2020annual influenza immunization. I was diagnosed with PMR in Sept. 2013. Currently I use 7 mg. Prednisone. I have had an annual flu shot every year since being diagnosed with PMR.. No negative effects or problems as a result. On this Forum, every year there are several questions

Watering eyes following a trabeculectomy
Three months ago I had a trabeculectomy. I have normal tension glaucoma. Following the removal of a suture by laser, I have had weeks of discomfort, increased sensitivity to glare and a continual flow of tears from the eye that was operated on. I am told that the bleb has stretched and my consultant

Do Ordinary Eyeglasses Offer Protection Against COVID-19?
Eyeglasses keep you from tripping over footstools and walking into walls, but they also might have a side benefit to spark envy among those with 20/20 vision. People who wear glasses every day might be less susceptible to COVID-19 infection, a Chinese study reports. Only about 6% of 276 patients hospitalized

Wisdom Teeth Anxiety
Ok I made a post regarding my wisdom teeth anxiety a couple weeks ago, but I'm doing it again. I've been feeling achy in my jaw the past two days and I'm assuming it's because of my wisdom teeth, which means I can no longer ignore them...ugh. Now, anxiety about wisdom teeth is normal to my understanding

First Video Rheumy Appointment on Monday
I haven't seen the Rheumatologist since last year, so I am probably due for a consult. I have a 1.5 hour drive to attend the Rheumy clinic, so if the video appointment works, it will be a relief. How do they do a DAS though, taking my word for 'I don't have any joint tenderness or swelling' probably

Anesthetic eyedrops vs anesthetic injections
I recently started monthly eyelea injections in June 2020 (3 so far). My doctor injects the anesthetic before eyelea. When I asked for anesthetic drops she said that due to the pandemic the practice is clearing and sanitizing rooms at a faster pace. Somehow this is not a good reason for me to endure

Pegasys stopped working
I have PV and take Pegasys 135mcg weekly for about 15 months. It had been worked really well for me with no significant side effects and blood counts were well controlled. However, about three months ago, my platelet count started to rise rapidly, from 400s to now 700s. My Dr. suggested to increase

Hi, I'm new to this Mental Health Support forum
I'm relatively new to Health Unlocked, and I joined this forum now. I suffer from major depression, and anxiety, and today my therapist says I have some PTSD going on. He suggested EMDR. Has anyone had this type of therapy and did it help you? Thank you.

Prednisone reduction and blurred vision
I have PMR started on 20mg of pred and am now on 2nd reduction so down to 15mg 4 days ago. Within 36 hours of reducing I get terrible fatigue not much pain but wierd vision, eye sight really blurry and hard to focus. Is this a common problem. Last time it lasted 5 days then I came right. Afraid it might

Finally got home late last night!
And I don't even know what happened! Yikes! Except that I had 3days of prednisone, then saw my neurologist. Then the next day he wants me in the hospital.😐 He even got my daughter on a conference call to make me! Ugh! What's up with that? Anyway, another 2 days of Solu-Medrol, and an MRI. To show
