Head/neck injury then PD.
First of all, I am just a newly dx (2 years) guy trying to live the best life possible. It’s fairly common to have a head or neck injury shortly before being DX with PD. Looking back, my symptoms started shortly after a head injury that damaged my neck. I was begged by a friend of mine to see this guy

Dry MD, Leaking Membrane & cataracts. How do you communicate with an eye doctor that fobs you off
Had an MD appt at eye hospital. I had had two cancelled MD appts and was very anxious as my vision has deteriorated after two bouts of flashes since my last appt in January. Sorry but I am venting here, but hoping this will give me some relief. Dr: you have MD, I haven’t had time to look at your file

Saw my optician on Thursday and been told I've got Sjorgen's
I've had eye problems for the past 9 years, sore, very dry all the time, and more recently extremely light sensitive. I've been on so many different combinations of drops and gels, I'm currently on Hylo, Viscotears and Evolve. I had the plug implants about years ago which really helped, but one fell

Dimming of vision
Has anyone found that the eylea injection for cnv helps or increases the perception of light. What I have found is a slight improvement in how distorted objects appear but there seems to be a dimming of vision. I notice the presence of more floaters in my good eye and although my sight seems to remain

World Kindness Day
Nov 13 is world kindness day. It’s important to be kind to others but if you have PA remember to also be kind to yourself. I’m a few days off getting my injection. I know I need it because I have brain fog, pins and needles and I am clumsy, I am breathing like Darth Vader, and have already called

Has anyone had a cataract op while in PAF?
A month or so ago I had a pre op appointment for my cataracts (been waiting a year 😢). I was very excited until I was told that yes, sight very poor, both eyes needed to be done but long wait. How long? 18 months 😱 I was so stunned I forgot to ask when the countdown started....anyway a few days ago

Living with CSR
Hi I’ve now had this condition for about 16 years. I’m now 64. First noted sight problem when night driving. Left eye normal but right eye not as sharp. After diagnosis I soon lost central vision in right eye and then had symptoms in left eye. Had regular checks at QMC Nottingham. Got funding for PDT

Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS)
This is a service paid for by the NHS and operated through local opticians. You can apply directly to a participating optician as well as via your GP. As far as I know, it's available throughout the UK. I had a MECS appointment on Friday. About a year ago I went to my GP about problems with my left eye

Two lives , one daytime , an entirely different one at night. The darkness comes, your body is doing strange uncontrollable things and you start down Alices rabbit hole.........its nighttime..........you know when you fall asleep if you can call it sleep, that you will descend into the world of PD..

Hyco San Extra for dry eyes
I have been advised to use Hyco San Extra for dry eyes, has anyone else used this and did it work? Does anyone know if dry eyes, blepharitis, or aura without migraine could be the result of RD or side effects of prednisolone? Thanks.

Blepharitis
For many months my eyes tended to be a little itchy especially the right side but not tearing. I’ve had dry eyes for years and use cyclosporine eye drops. During a time of stress: my husband’s surgery and his car accident I developed a stye inside the lower lid. Optician prescribed drops and hot packs

brown discharge on Progynova
Hello, I'm new on this forum. I have a FET scheduled for Saturday. I'm currently on Progynova 3x2mg. Today, I've had a light brown discharge and the clinic wants me to do another scan tomorrow. I had an ultrasound last Thursday and my endometrium was at 10.3mm. My progesterone levels were really good

Watering eyes
I use Cosopt and Monopost eye drops both preservative free. I am still having trouble with my eyes watering - a problem especially when driving. A pharmacist suggested I might have ‘dry eyes’ and recommended drops. Made no difference. Any ideas anyone?

Low frequency vibration in one ear after TBI - Anyone else had similar?
So I'm nearly 3 months post TBI and thought I'd provide a little update: Really struggling with a low frequency vibration in my left ear (this was the side of my head that seemed to have taken most of impact) which I can only describe as hearing a car engine running outside my house. It started about
