EMDR Therapy?
Hello Everyone. I am new here. I am curious to know if anyone is doing EMDR therapy? I am hopeful that it will work for me, but would like to connect with others who are going through EMDR currently or have completed it. Thanks so much.

GCA?
My friend is suffering excruciating pain in her eye: her eye is inflamed and swollen around it: the hospital yesterday diagnosed blepharitis but anti biotics haven’t helped so far....she now has a migraine ( she does suffer from these). Does one have external swelling with GCA? To be fair the anti biotics

Ataxia and blurry vision
Good morning all I hope u all had a good Christmas despite the circumstances . I would like to ask if any of you have problem with progressing blurry vision. A week ago I woke up where everything was a blur and couldn’t see anything what was written. I thought that after 2h it will go away but unfortunately

Treatment for dry, peeling lips
What do you use for Sjogrens dry, peeling lips? I have had lupus for 30 years, and a variety of dry eye and salivary gland issues, that have at times been severe. Been treated for both. Also have dry sinus, and sleep apnea. Even if I use items to prevent mouth breathing during sleeps, lips still

Super anxious about wisdom teeth removal
So I was told I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed and will likely have it done next month. But I’m super nervous. Weirdly though it’s not the pain or anything like that that I am nervous about. It’s the being put to sleep and the being taken care of by people. I am going to fight hard to be kept

Vision problems
I havn't had an injection in left eye since May 2018 due to scarring I was told...but recently I had an episode of flashing lights in that eye and my vision changed, it felt like my sight was pulling in 1 direction, it turned out I had a bleed in that eye, but they won't inject as it wont improve my

Hello!
Hi everyone! I just started listening to 'Heal Your PTSD' and this forum was suggested. I'm pretty well on the road to healing, but can't shake lingering fear some days. I have been in CBT therapy a year and a half, only going once every few months now, and I'm about to finish up EMDR in a couple weeks

Does anyone know anything about the use of deflazacort instead of prednisone for PMR?
Searching the web tonight for prednisone information, I came across deflazacort for the first time. It seems to have better characteristics in terms of less bone loss and other side effects. The article I found (link below) talks about kidney transplantation; does anyone know whether it is being used

How bad do visual difficulties get?
My dad has recently been diagnosed with CBD and we are devastated! I honestly thought he had PSP because his symptoms started with visual problems and this has continued to be one of his main problems. But he has an 'alien limb' - his right arm and hand -, which I know fits with a diagnosis of CBD.

Standing up for myself and other vulnerable people.
I just won a battle against Southern Electric.(SSE) Up to a year ago I've been happy with SSE. I'm registered with SSE as vulnerable. I pay by dd and always overpay. Soon after lockdown started SSE rang for a meter reading because no meter men were working. I explained my breathing problems and

UPDATE - aqueous shunt implantation
Yesterday my partner went back to Moorfields in the early morning. I couldn't go with him so was waiting for news. It was all good. His pressure has gone from 3 post surgery to 8. He got a device to allow him to put his own drops in. His eye is looking good, his vision has slightly improved each day.

This is why you should ALWAYS view your own blood results.
I was diagnosed Nov 2018, despite a blood test 7 months before not being processed and me being incorrectly informed all normal. But now I’ve discovered I was hyper years before getting diagnosed. Since setting up online access (with help from this forum on how to start going about it) I been going

Diagnosis wait
Hello, wonder if anyone in Uk has difficulty with waiting and time spent trying to get diagnosed. I had abnormal LFTs for a couple months, fatigue, itching, unable to work. I am having a phone consult on Monday thankfully. As yet, no indepth tests. My Human Resources at work are not familiar with this

A good stand up reminder. Being sedentary can worsen PD.
I have tried many reminders including manual/digital timers, iWatch, standalone apps, etc. but this lightweight free "eyeCare" Chrome extension is the best of all that I've tried thus far with audible/visual notification with adjustable time. It's actually a reminder app to exercise your eyes to prevent

Antibiotics and immunosupressant??
Hello, I just managed to get an eye infection and the GP prescribed chloramphenicol eye ointment and flucloxacillin. I already take methotrexate, hydroxichloroquine and prednisolone. She told me to check with the rheumatology nurse to see if I need to stop the immunosuppressant. I tried to get in touch
