Thyroid eye disease
Hello everyone, I’ve been told that I may have thyroid eye disease and certainly it seems that I have all the symptoms of it. I’m really confused though as the GP did loads of blood tests that came back fine for thyroid function. I have an appt with a thyroid eye specialist at the end of July and in

Time to decide about leaving the initial NON TIME LIMITED Captivate trial because of potential toxicity
Hi all, My husband is in the initial 164 trial group of Non Time limited Captivate Trial. The trial design was Venetoclax ramp up and then ibrutinib until MRD. When MRD was achieved, a blind was set up for placebo vs Ibrutinib indefinitely, or until progression/toxicity. Since MRD, we have settled

Graves' Ophthalmopathy in the Setting of Primary Hypothyroidism
I have heard a specialist ophthalmic nurse insist to a patient that Graves' Ophthalmopathy only occurs in hyperthyroidism. Whilst a full review article including links to all known case reports might be desirable, even one case report demonstrates that it is possible. I think it is also good that the

Am I heading for a PMR flareup?
After feeling very smug with myself for reducing my prednisolone down to 15mg since May 2022. Now in my 4th week since my last reduction and only had very mild symptoms in the mornings until the preds had kicked in for the day. My last blood test showed my inflammation had reduced down to nearly nothing

Recent new Glaucoma diagnosis - should I wait 3mths for next appointment?
Hello all, hope you are all keeping well as can be and enjoying the pleasant recent weather. New to the site as only recently been diagnosed. Apologies in advance if this becomes a long post, but I think I'll bullet point my story and questions in order to make this post more easily digestible. *

Low IOP and blurred vision after Trab
It's been nearly three weeks after Trab and my blurred vision is coming back frustratingly and worryingly slow. I have a double vision and difficult to read my phone however close it is. Meanwhile, I had a check up and the doctor confirmed the op went well and the bleb is working fine and eye is healing

Second Pegasys injection and I’m weak as a kitten!
Update/ I took my second Pegasys yesterday evening. I sweat ALL night long. I feel fatigued and so weak. Also had a headache and some nausea last night. I have planted myself on the couch, today, and am depending on my husband to keep refilling my water glass. I am hoping this passes by tomorrow, when

Antibiotic eye drops- dosage and side effects
After a trab, I was given boxes of antibiotic eye drops called Dexafree. I was diligently taking them but after five days or so, the discomfort and inflammation is gone. Still a blurred vision, which is a concern... Am I supposed to take them until doctors say otherwise? Since this is a steroid eye
