Interpreting results
I'm fairly new to this. I got a Hashimoto's diagnosis at the beginning of the year and started on Levo in January. My TSH wasn't massively high (6.3) but I have symptoms so they agreed but started me on a really low dose of 25mcg. I recently increased to 50mcg and have just had my bloods to review

Advice T3 vs TSH levels
Hi All - I've been following advice on supplements and timing of tests but NHS has problems with results and need advice as what to do - I take Armour NDT with Levo. Haven't had a conversation with them about it, changing practices and moving back to the states for a period of time but will be back

Is it ethical for GP to withdraw thyroid meds with no notice?
I've been on combination Levo and Armour for 20 years or so and well since 2016 when and NHS endo sorted out the levels and backed NHS prescribing Armour. On Monday the Armour was removed from my repeat script. I moved 2 years ago and the new GP's have written the script because I have the backing

Feeling hyper - why?
Below are my results from last week on 2 grains of armour for about 3 weeks, reduced to 1 for about 2 weeks then half for another 2. I reduced because I felt really unwell. I stopped entirely for 4 days and yesterday I took 50mcg of Levo. I feel like I’m on a stimulant. I’m not complaining as up until

why am I so happy?
I had a positive pregnancy test today. I wasn’t surprised I was pregnant. I was trying to wait a little longer. But I am amazed. I’m so happy, interested, and curious about my pregnancy journey. Things could be worse right now, but for the most part, I’m hopeful. My partner was happy. He felt so proud

Mirtazapine back pain and bladder
Anyone have a bad experience with Mirtazapine? After 4 days I couldn’t handle being a zombie so I stopped. Week later I had uti symptoms and major lower and upper back pain. This has been going on for about a month. None of my urine test have been negative for a uti. But yet I went through 3 courses

Buprenorphine @ 2 weeks, issues
Hi, I've been on buprenorphine (suboxone 2.0mg as i'm in USA) for little more than 2 weeks. This is after augmenting on pramipexole, getting off that last year, and having some moderate but transient response to IV Iron 5 mos ago that has mostly gone away (despite my ferritin levels still being 300)

T3 and magnesium / electrolyte supplements: I messed up, but is it just the supplements to blame?
I have been on the same dose of T4 and T3 for the last 7 months ( T4: 82mcg and T3:22.5 mcg). I was then diagnosed with ADHD end of April and started taking Lisdexamfetamine plus electrolyte supplements. (Magnesium citrate, plus : Electrolyte complex - Ingredients: Calcium salts of orthophosphoric

what’s new?
I previously posted requesting any recommendations for a local endo and totally understand why this was shut down but thought it would make more sense to ask a separate question for the second part of my post. It’s now about 10 years since I last saw an endocrinologist and have been managing my thyroid

Seladelpar update
About a month or more ago, I wrote about this upcoming drug's potentially to be the next drug for second line treatment. By that I mean that for some reason someone was not responding to or not able to take Urso. 40% of patients are failed by Urso. Cymabay, the pharma who manufacturers Seladelpar,

Have I cardiac haemolytic anaemia or haven't I?
I have been borderline anaemic for some years and it seems that my TAVI a year ago and the consequent medication may have pushed me over the threshold. On May 31 a haematologist wrote to my GP following tests on
March 5
to say that "it is likely [that I have] cardiac haemolytic anaemia". But

I’m fine. Really?
Brain fog is a brilliant description that no one can really understand until they experience it. I feel like my brain is surrounded by a thick cotton wool-like layer that makes me want to just lie down and close my eyes - except that makes me dizzy. What the heck is happening to me? I’m 65 and moved

Blood test interpretation
Hallo everyone, I requested a blood test to cover a number of things - not sure this one covers everything or maybe there's more to come. I wonder if anyone might be willing or have the time to help with interpretation. ESR looks OK - I requested CRP as well but doesn't appear to be there unless I

Will Anti TPO - Thyroid peroxidase antibodies show the same thing as Thyroglobulin antibodies ?
Years ago I had a full thyroid panel which included tsh , free t4 , free t3 and Thyroid Peroxidase Ab IU/mL . My result was : 0.84 IU/mL The Range: 0 - 5 IU/mL But my GP didn’t check thyroglobulin antibody levels surely if I had any autoimmune thyroid problems wouldn’t the Thyroid peroxidase pick

Hi everyone I'm new to this forum but not new to C25K, over the past 10 years I've probably completed it 12 - 15 times, each time congratulating myself with two weeks off and some wine and cake!!😀 Earlier this year I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and decided to embark on the C25K again, I completed

Hi Guys, New to this forum but have 7 years tackling & experimenting with nutrition for Hashimotos. With a keen background in nutrition I was determined to address it with this and avoid any thyroid drug interaction if possible. My antibodies were as high as 3500 at worst and are now 528 and dropping

How long before eating?
General advice is leave at least 30 minutes after taking tablets before eating. I’ve seen other advice saying it should be 60 minutes. The reasoning being that there is “better absorption” but no one defines what that means. What I want to know is what difference does it actually make to absorption

Update on MichaelJH
Good morning! I rang Michael last night as I saw elsewhere that he was quite unwell. At the start of the week he woke early feeling rather strange and thought it best to check his blood glucose level. It was fine but he was having trouble focussing on the phone screen (Libre 2 sensor). The room started
