I am male, 36, and I had a total

due to cancer..... and when I was on t4 and t3 treatment I scored ft4 17.4pmol/L and TSH 12.8mtU/L ( on 200mg thyroxine 10mg liothyronine) so DR Gilbert has put me on thyroxine monotherapy (300mg), this was 3 months ago and I feel awful.... could you please

Different sort of pain!
Don't know if it's the pmr, the pred or levothyroxine as I had total
thyroidectomy
10 years ago due to cancer in thyroid gland. The only change is that I started exercise on GP referral at the gym 2 weeks ago, but have gone very gently and only done some walking and cycling exercises.

Bloods - need advice
I had a
thyroidectomy
Oct 2014 - I am on Levothyroxine which was constantly being adjusted due to levels, I am now on 125mcg per day ( for last 8 months) and my aches and pains seem to have settled, my hair started to re-grow ( though was also taking Iron 200mg of iron tablets ) The GP stopped prescribing

Graves disease and surgery for lump
Surgeon has suggested either hemithyroidectory or total
thyroidectomy
. I will therefore be hypo if I have total
thyroidectomy
. If not I could be looking at further surgery if block & replace doesn't work (won't consider R iodine as I don't want to be away from kids).

A Little Bit of History re Thyroid Hormone replacement
Nonetheless, his very astute idea of the commonality of these conditions caught on, one senior member at the meeting suggesting that British surgeons be canvassed for their experience of
thyroidectomy

Thyroid Update
He is going to get all my past records from my
Thyroidectomy
(both sides) and from the Endocrinologist. He wants to be complete. I have to get a sonogram of my neck, now and blood work a week before my next appointment to see what the levels are at.

Update on my first appointment with endocrinologist
She thinks it's from fibrous tissue from the scar from my previous partial
thyroidectomy
. I then asked her why would the scar tissues start aching after 7 years.

Mouth ulcers and Vaginal thrush
I had a full
thyroidectomy
at 26yrs old (I'm now 40) due to Graves disease. Ever since then I've never felt great, in the early days even suicidal with the constant brain fog so severe I didn't even dare cross roads incase the light wasn't really green. I haven't seen an endocrinologist since.

Shocked by my very low thyroid TSH result. Help!
I had a goitre and
thyroidectomy
at the age of 19, 52 yrs ago. I am currently feeling lethargic, lacking stamina, hair thinning and putting on weight. I also take Premique hormone replacement therapy and Adalat for moderatly high blood pressure. Please help me make some sense of this.

NHS endocrinologists in Edinburgh + advice
I had a complete
thyroidectomy
in 2009 because of thyroid cancer and since then I have been struggling to find doctors who even listened to me. Initially I was followed by private doctors, as my employer at that time provided medical insurance. They were not any better than NHS ones.

Post partial thyroidectomy- exhausted!
I had partial
thyroidectomy
4 weeks ago for suspicious nodules which turned out to be benign. Also diagnosed with autoimmune lymphocytic thyroiditis. Since surgery have become increasingly tired. Zombie like. Have to rest after smallest exertion. Last weeks bloods show TSH of 0.8 .

Am I hypo?
I had a partial
thyroidectomy
in 2009 a couple of months after giving birth to my daughter. I had multiple nodules that came back as benign after the operation. Apart from being tired, I never needed any medication. And I always put my tiredness down to having beta thalassaemia trait.
