NEW RESULTS, I FEEL LIKE I’M DYING
Hi all, Just a refresher, I had total
thyroidectomy
for papillary cancer in 2017, have not been well since surgery. All vitamin & mineral levels are optimal. I take synthroid 100mcg, 7.5 mcg cytomel, taken together at 7am with a full glass of water, breakfast at 10am.

Why is fasting important before a blood test?
I am so happy as I have had lots of hypo symptoms ( total
thyroidectomy
35 years ago) since he reduced it a year ago. I think he was a bit reluctant but I know that's where I need to be.

Has anyone had a hysterectomy and oophorectomy due to PMDD after a thyroidectomy?, I really need to know how it went.
Hello, I am really tired of suffering for many years (I am 47 years old) of premenstrual dysphoric syndrome and I have noticed that it has worsened since I had my
thyroidectomy
, I am really desperate, I have no quality of life. My Gyno recommended surgery because I also have a cyst in each ovary.

Want to ask my gp to consult with my treating specialist.
Its worrying me that my gp sent me to thyroid surgeon for possible
thyroidectomy
without consulting the specialist that put me on carbimazole until a review in december this year.

Trying to get used to Cpap mask
I know as Iv had a total
thyroidectomy
I am now hypothyroid and that can come with sleep apnoea so I’m hoping if I ever get my dosage right I will not need Cpap but I have a fight on my hands getting t3 because it’s expensive and GP and endo say they won’t prescribe it. Have a good day everyone.x

Hyperthyroidism- First Endo Appointment
He explained that the best options were a
thyroidectomy
or RAI, and the RAI was the one he seemed to steer me more towards. After reading through the forum can I assume that one of the reasons he’s suggesting RAI is cost?

Thyroidectomy or RAI - pros and cons
Hello, my husband (39 years old) has been diagnosed with Graves’ disease in January 2018. His results are now very good and the antibodies have dropped significantly, in fact they are very low. He is on 12.5mg of PTU every other day. His endo however thinks that he can relapse very quickly (like within

Afraid of total thyroidectomy comlications
I want to ask this surgeon questions about his experiece in total
thyroidectomy
on thyrotoxic goiter. Why do i feel nervous about asking qurstions when i really have no other choice of surgeon. It seems i have to go ahead with a surgeon i have little confidence in so far.

Anyone happy and well on just levothyroxine?
After having a
thyroidectomy
over 30 years ago I have been feeling well and energetic taking only levothyroxine. It has never been an issue but now my TSH has started to fall and my new doctor has reduced my levothyroxine and I have started to have symptoms of hypothyroidism.

Teva 75 mcg.
I have no thyroid due to
thyroidectomy
because of Pap cancer, removed 18 years ago. My endo is trying to reduce thyroxine from 100mcg daily to 75mcgs. The only brand of 75's I can find is Teva and I know nothing about this brand - anyone have experience with Teva?

Thyroid growing back???
Hi all, I had a total
thyroidectomy
when I was 14 back in 1996. A month ago I have noticed a lump in my left side of my neck. Had an urgent referral to ENT and was told it could be my thyroid growing back!!!!!!!! However I'm to have a biopsy to check for anything else.
