Dehydration Issue?
My husband was once on a business trip with his boss who also had a
thyroidectomy
. He started to feel badly on the trip and told my husband that the most dangerous thing for him was to become dehydrated.

kidney pain
I am 36yrs old a full
thyroidectomy
patient. For a couple years, I have been having pain in my back each side where my kidney is that will keep me awake all night and then eases in the day and less annoying. I thought it was due to my endometriosis turns out it’s not it is my kidneys.

Feeling exhausted.
I had a complete
thyroidectomy
in 1990 . It went haywire when I was pregnant and until 2015 I was fit and healthy on 175mg thyroxine daily. Then it became irratic and I’ve struggled since with several changes to my thyroxine.

She refused to do bloods as I'd had them done early March and all was fine.( Full

Considering Total Thyroidectomy - and a general 'hello, I'm new'!
Long story short - I am seeking advice on a total
thyroidectomy
which is the only option of treatment I have been offered for my large goitre.

Following my
thyroidectomy
five years ago, I came close to being bedridden. My Endo had not a clue how to manage thyroid patients. A very lovely man is he, but uneducated when interpreting thyroid labs/adjusting doses.he made me very ill the months following my

T4 out of range: Suspect this is related to iodine based medication (Amiodarone) Advice needed pls.
I do not have a thyroid (
thyroidectomy
1992) but still this medication also interferes with conversion of thyroid meds. In my case, I do believe this is what has happened. Present thyroid medication status: 75mcg/ 50mcg alternate days. 30mg NDT daily, split dose.

fertility/pregnancy after total thyroidectomy?
Would I be able to conceive naturally after a total
thyroidectomy
due to Graves’ disease. Before that I had no luck, would I have a higher chance now? I’m 25 does anyone have any advice or success stories?

Can a doctor or pharmacist at a GP's refuse to prescribe the thyroid medication that I need to make me feel reasonably well?
I had a
thyroidectomy
about four years ago after my NHS endocrinologist informed me that he wasn't able to sort out my overactive thyroid. Long story short, things certainly did not improve after the operation and I felt much worse.

neck tenderness
I have had lower neck tenderness for several months - assumed it was thyroid related as I have previously had a partial
thyroidectomy
and the pain is in the ‘remaining side’’ had a private ultrasound scan but apparently my thyroid is fine with two small modules around 5mm which I was told were nothing

Complete thyroidectomy & meds
I had a complete
thyroidectomy
in August. Initially, I had been taking the generic Levothyroxine. I immediately had horrible symptoms of crushing depression and extreme fatigue. My doctor boosted me up to 125 mg and there was no difference.
