Quick recap I had
thyroidectomy
18 months following cancer (though no symptoms). One thing I've noticed is the NHS test I had in January gave my FT3 at 85% (4.05 on range 3.1-6.8 pmo/L) through range, whereas this latest test from 2 weeks ago shows me at 25.7% !! Any ideas for the big difference.

Possible hypothyroidism, No Thyroid and on 50mg Levo since Nov 22
I take liquid Vit D, B complex and Fish Oil plus bloodpressure meds (Felodopin 10mg) and sleep really well as given a CPAP machine after
thyroidectomy
. I take my levo in the morning and am worried that this is not the right drug for me.

Thyroid blood results
I had a total
thyroidectomy
in December last year due to a large goitre. No medication prescribed prior to the operation. Currently on 150 mg of Levo. Blood results after 4 weeks on medication TSH serum 0.05 T4 level 21. What does this mean. I had repeat blood done last week awaiting results.

Hypo/Hyperthyroidism compared to Menopause symptoms
Having forgotten quite a few of the symptoms, I realise that having had a total
thyroidectomy
due to Hyperthyroidism, that there is very little difference between that and the menopause symptoms. anxiety, depression, tiredness, lack of sleep, weight gain - the list goes on.

First Thyroid Test in 13 Years - Could someone give me a second opinion as to whether these are good results please?
I had a right-side
thyroidectomy
in 2005 followed by annual thyroid blood tests at the hospital for five years. I was told by the consultant that the tests were fine but I was not aware of the detail (I was not sufficiently clued up back then to ask).

Thyroidectomy or not? Thyroidmegaly and multi modular goiter.
I’m 60 years old and have known about my thyroid issues since 2010, at least the start of the issues. I confused as to what is going on with my thyroid. I 2012 radioactive reuptake showed diffuse reuptake at 66%, and was told “indicative of Graves’ disease “ however, negative antibodies. My TSH goes

Antibiotics and T3/T4

Surgery for Large Retrosternal Thyroid Goitre
I'm due to have a right hemi-
thyroidectomy
next week. Due to the size and location of the mass, thoracic surgeons are going to join the ENT team to perform a mini/full sternotomy as well as the cervical incision.

Beta blockers fit an overactive thyroid
Having had the right lobe removed 6 years ago due to neck pressure, I am now facing a complete
thyroidectomy
because the left lobe had grown so big that it causes swallowing problems.

What could be causing tachycardia?
The T3 that I added to levo in October did lower the cholesterol a lot, but it was still over range, so just to be clear, the Endo did point out that as I did not have
thyroidectomy
for the Graves, I am likely not a thyroid sufferer. I do however have non bioactive TSH, it is still 0.01.

Iodine ~ a collection of useful information ( because the search facility on Health Unlocked is totally pants)
Iodine is used for emergency management of thyroid storm, for hyperthyroid patients undergoing emergency nonthyroid surgery, and (because it also decreases the vascularity of the thyroid) for preoperative preparation of hyperthyroid patients undergoing
thyroidectomy

Hoarse voice after thyroid surgery
I would just like to know if anyone else has experienced unilateral vocal fold paralysis following
thyroidectomy
/hemi-thyroidecyomy and whether it improved on it's own? How long it took for some improvement/voice being back to normal? Any advice or insight is appreciated xx
