cancer, coronary artery disease... melatonin question
As platelet is a critical player in arterial
thrombosis
leading to ischemic pathologies like coronary heart disease and stroke, and intracellular calcium being a major determinant of platelet reactivity, any therapeutic use of melatonin should be monitored under intense caution."

Taking Hydroxycarbamide?…
My Doctor now prescribed me Hydroxycarbamide (alongside aspirin 75 mg) to avoid risk of
thrombosis
. This medicine is pure poison and I’d rather take only the aspirin. I’m also looking for any natural substance to help. Any ideas or opinions would be appreciated.

Back again!...Cirrhosis, DVT and those s**t days! I need to speak to my 'Liver Doctor' who has failed to make my last 2 previous calls.😶
Hey fellow liver sufferers and carers. I hope life is manageable for you all! Basically I have Cirrhosis that decompensated liver nearly 2 years ago. Symptoms were jaundice, ascites ,sarcopenia, HE but got through this near death experience. I am now compensated. I went to the Royal Free last year

Rollercoaster Ride - MPN
Hi Everyone, I know I don’t post on here all the time but I do think it helps me to rationalise my thoughts My story - April 2020 I found out: - I had Varices Grade 4 - Portal Vein
Thrombosis
and collaterals - Jax2 Positive I was then treated for ET MPN as my platelet count was high.

Besremi trial
It's a subcutaneous injection given every two weeks and dose escalated to a target dose in order to (A) control blood counts; (B) reduce the risk of
thrombosis
and hemorrhage, – so clotting and bleeding – and; (C) in some patients, probably about 25% of patients, one can achieve a molecular remission

OCT scan at opticians and brain clot
After some tests including a CT scan with dye, they found I have central venous
thrombosis
. I am in hospital being monitored further and having blood thinning injections. Apart from an unremarkable sinus type headache around my left eye, I was unaware there was anything wrong.

Desogestrel back and leg pain
Hi Everyone, I've started taking desogestrel as treatment for endometriomas and fibroids. I've only been taking it for a couple of weeks but I'm getting terrible back and leg pain every morning. It wears off a bit during the day but comes back in the evening. Also I'm having to get up every night

Ropeg 6 Year Allele Data (apparently) Revealed
LR is under age 60 without history of
thrombosis
(clots in arteries or veins). Conveniently 46+49=95 pts which matches earlier docs for the 95 patients in the Conti-PV Ropeg study. So it's very likely the same patients and relevant to this plot.

ET thrombosis risk rating, PLT level is no longer primary issue
Here is my note: "New ET
thrombosis
risk ratings: PLT counts are no longer in there. Used to be >150000, now not even listed. Jak2 status is now important." The general idea is more focus on genetics.

Study finds intake of MK7 form of vitamin K2 does not impact vitamin K-dependent coagulation-"might help prevent bone & vascular diseases.”
Based on this knowledge, drugs have been developed that antagonize vitamin K to help reduce blood clot formation (
thrombosis
) in individuals with certain health conditions.

New research on NSAID's and inflammation
Despite the drugs' anti-inflammatory effects, their chronic use is associated with a higher risk of acute thrombotic (clot-related) cardiovascular events, such as heart attack, stroke, or deep-vein
thrombosis

Polycythemia vera and prostate reduction procedures
Some of these surgical procedures involve considerable bleeding and clotting, and I'm concerned that the high platelet counts resulting from my PV may increase the risk of
thrombosis
after such a procedure.
