Blood results and tendonitis
I had the results of my regular blood test this morning: CRP has gone up from 15 to 21; ESR still OK at 12. The rise in CRP could be caused by an infection or a virus and I have had a bit of a cold. The GP explained that steroids can weaken the tendons and warned me not to jump over any stiles - as if

Synovectomy, radiotherapy or add methotrexate ?
Hi I've been give 3 options synovectomy or radiotherapy injected to dissolve the fluid sack or add methotrexate to my meds. My knee flared up in June and won't go down I've had steroid injections that haven't worked, so would like to know if anyone has had any luck with either and how long it lasted.

Parkrun time 28:25 - I'm OK with that but need to get my technology sorted next time
According to its Facebook page Edinburgh parkrun, in terms of registrations, has overtaken Bramhall Park pr to become 7th in the world. I came 314th out of 416 today! It was a good day for a run - still warm enough for shorts and a short sleeved T-shirt and for once not much of a breeze. I'd had a

Anyone ever had Achilles Tendonitis?
I have not been able to run for almost 3 weeks now due to this. My last run was a really good 10k, but decided to take a cross country route on the way back for the last 3-4k. My doctor says that is probably where I did it but the pain and swelling won't seem to go away. He has given me Naproxen but

Urgent advise. Can Pregavalin be the cause suddenly with painful, swollen knees Aquiles tendonitis, and other tendons. Also put on weight.
I am really worried about loosing a lot of movement and increased pain. Restless Legs are not too bad. But since I have to hide at work that I have RL, fibromyalgia , pain it has become impossible to pretend that all is well. Having no support makes it more difficult. I had a more understanding boss

For Ronnie. With apologies to the two Ronnie's.
Us with RA know how difficult it is to hold things. I have a problem in the garden holding my FORK HANDLES. But at least the garden looks nice, especially at night when it's lit with the FOUR CANDLES I have out there. The other problem I get with my hands is SORE TIPS of my fingers after I have been

Peak flow, low low low!
I have had a bit of a shock when I tested my peak flow, my partner is asthmatic and I decided to test my peak flow as my breathing has improved such a lot... I found that it is 330 and that is with EFFORT! It seems to vary what it should be but it is still at best 80 what evers under and at worst 130

Alternative to crutches?
When I had crutches for two weeks in February I gave myself
tendonitis
in both wrists and sesamoiditis in both thumbs. Still being treated for these! What could I use instead of crutches if I have to go ahead with the operation? A wheelchair just wouldn't be practical at home.

She's back
I had to stop for six full weeks because of achilles
tendonitis
. But, had my first run back today. Picked up where I left off with the idea to go backwards if the runs were too tough. So, W3R1 today - went just fine.

How do you get over the fact that pain in one place leads to pain in another place?
If I have surgery to correct the
tendonitis
in any of these places will I get pain elsewhere? If I use forearm crutches will I get elbow or shoulder problems? If I use a wheelchair will I get back or shoulder problems? It's so depressing.

Can De Quervan's release (tendonitis operation) be done at the same time as sesamoidectomy? (Hand not foot)
I have both on one hand, and just
tendonitis
on the other. (All from using crutches for a few weeks in February!) Will the surgeon do both operations at once on one hand? He has said he wants to do both De Quervan's releases at once.

Swollen Feet and Ankles
I have put my question somewhere else - am not familiar with the new system as yet. I am on Dilzem XL capsules and they certainly have improved my breathing but I really have very swollen feet and ankles. The leaflet inside the box says one in ten people suffer with swollen feet whilst taking this

Bridge-to-10K: Week 6 Run 1 (Back In the Game)
Hi all! *waves* It's been awhile, but I'm back now. When last I was active on this forum, I was working my way through the Bridge-to-10K programme. I started it on New Year's Day, with intent of finishing in early February. It was all going well into Week 4 (of 6)... until a torn muscle in my
