W1R2 No pain, no gain?!
After my first run on Friday I went into today with a little less trepidation because I had some idea of what to expect. Having suffered with jarring in my knees and ankles on R1 I'd bought some more comfortable running shoes with an air cushion and they were a great help (picture attached because I've

Plantar facilitis JDQuinn75
JDQuinn75, sorry can't find any other way to post this for you to see. This is my foot , shows the spur under the heel and the spur coming out of the back of heel which is responsible for the Achilles tendinitis . This is why I think you really need to see gp and force the issue for an X-ray . If you

Bisphosphonates
Here's a tidbit from Wikipedia about the history of bisphosphonates: Bisphosphonates were developed in the 19th century but were first investigated in the 1960s for use in disorders of bone metabolism. Their non-medical use was to soften water in irrigation systems used in orange groves. The initial

Prostatitis treatment: what antibiotics have u used?
This antibiotic increases the risk of
tendonitis
and tendon rupture, which may occur up to several months after treatment has ended. Doxycycline inhibits protein synthesis and thus, bacterial growth. It can prevent the growth process of bacteria in prostatitis patients. Levofloxacin(Levaquin).

Bilateral Trochanteric Bursitis
Has anyone suffered from this? I'm new here. I have had it for 3 years now and I am looking for options as it is really affecting my life. I have tried steroid injections, medications etc but had no luck. I am looking into a bursectomy. Has anyone had this on the NHS? Thanks :)

Do you rest on your bad side?
Quite often with Parkinson's, one half of the body is affected first by the disabling symptoms; like muscular tension and or an inability to relax a specific muscle,
tendonitis
, tremor, involuntary spasm, jolting or jerking of a limb, etc.

w3r1 done!
Well that was quite an experience - a much tougher way to do 9 minutes of actual running than week 2. After we finished the first 3m session it felt pretty easy, but the second was much harder. My wife especially almost immediately on starting felt her legs feeling heavy and thought she couldn't manage

Ankle injury
I haven’t been to the doctors but have tried to self diagnose - it’s either
Tendonitis
or plantar fasciitis. I’m trying to rest it and apply ice packs when possible but it’s still uncomfortable when I put weight on it.

Trying to get back in shape.....
So, was a fitness instructor for 20 years. I’ve been able to maintain a healthy & happy weight due to all the classes I teach & a clean diet. Unfortunately, due to arthritis & other degenerative issues and injuries I’m no longer able to teach. I also tore my hamstring water skiing in July & had to

W2R1 ankle pain
I'm loving the freedom of running, especially in the rain. I'm 44 and very unfit but this really feels doable. It makes me feel better in so many ways. However, I have a persistent pain in my right ankle- just above my foot and to the inside front of my leg. On W1R1,2&3 it didnt get any worse overvthe
